Welcome – I'm Glad You're Here
I’m a humanistic and compassionate therapist who works with adults ages 18 to 64 navigating a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and life transitions. My approach is grounded in the belief that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change.
I view therapy as a collaborative process, where we work together to explore your unique experiences and uncover the strengths that already exist within you. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I aim to understand the whole person—your values, relationships, history, and hopes for the future.
Whether you're facing a difficult season or seeking deeper self-understanding, my goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. Together, we’ll identify what healing looks like for you and walk that path side by side.

Hi I am Dr. Teyhou Smyth and am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor #11450 and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#115137) in California Originally from the United Kingdom, I earned an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy at the California School of Professional Psychology and hold a doctorate degree in Education. I place a high value on personal development and allowing for the achievement of one’s full potential so that they may become the best version of themselves.
I focus on relationships and attachment issues using Emotion Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy working from an attachment-based model.
Hello, I'm Sonia Torres, a Marriage Family Therapist licensed in California. I believe we are all resilient beings and I am passionate about supporting my clients through their healing journey with compassion and encouragement. I received my Masters' degree from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, CA and have 20 years of experience in the therapeutic field, working with children, adults and families.
Do you struggle with people-pleasing, anxiety, depression, internalized and/or externalized anger, or managing emotions in general in a healthy manner? Did you experience childhood trauma and feel like you grew up too fast? Were you labeled "different," "the "caretaker," "black sheep," or "troublemaker"? I teach people how to prioritize and honor all parts of themselves, not just the "desirable" ones. We will work through parts people generally dismiss and ignore such as anger, resentment, shame, and disgust, and learn how to embrace them gracefully. I'll teach you the skills to feel more at peace.
As your therapist, I will be challenging and direct, yet empathetic and compassionate. I will challenge you through introspective questioning that will lead you to your own answers. I help you take what you've learned and apply it to your own life by giving you things to think about and work on between sessions, along with resources and handouts to remember.
I hope you'll witness yourself feeling more empowered, confident, and more at peace with yourself as my other clients have. You will notice your relationships evolve and change, which can be scary! Rest assured, you will be provided with skills to gracefully go through them.
Everything you seek is already inside you. All I’m doing is helping you remember.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I take a client-centered approach to treatment, ensuring that each session is tailored to the unique needs and goals of my clients. In my sessions, I would like to hear from you. Think of me as an observer in your art gallery, not as a critic, but as someone who appreciates your vision and the story you tell. You are the artist, and as such, you will explain to me your pieces, your vision, and your creations. I will take these all in and reflect back to you your work, and if appropriate, draw parallels from your earlier creations.
With over to 20 years of experience working alongside children, teens, adults, and families, I’ve learned the importance of meeting people exactly where they are, whether mentally, emotionally, or sometimes even physically. My “out-of-the-box” approach is flexible and adaptable to each individual's unique needs, offering creative, client-centered strategies where you can feel safe, supported, and empowered to explore at your own pace.
My journey began in community-based settings, working with individuals and families often navigating complex systems. That foundation shaped my core belief: to show up to each session with curiosity and deep respect for each person’s unique story.
My approach has always been to meet clients where they are, helping them discover healthier coping mechanisms and become more effective in their daily lives. Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all. I tailor each session to your unique needs, integrating different modalities to support your growth in ways that feel natural and accessible to you.
As your therapist, I show up as my authentic self, with the intention of creating a space where you feel safe, supported, and empowered to explore at your own pace. I offer an environment where you can express yourself freely, gain deeper insight into your thoughts and emotions, and develop tools to navigate life’s challenges more effectively.
Facing changes and challenges alone can be incredibly difficult. I believe everyone deserves a compassionate and understanding supporter to help during these times. I strive to offer my clients a safe environment free of judgement for gentle exploration of what is getting in the way of living an authentic, courageous, fulfilling life. I would be honored to accompany you on your journey to wholeness - so reach out, give me a call, and let's create a life you love.
Hi, I’m Anthony Garcia, LMFT. I help adults and couples who feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, trauma, or relational conflict find their way back to themselves. Whether you’re carrying childhood wounds, experiencing panic attacks, or struggling to connect with your partner, I provide trauma-informed care rooted in EMDR, CBT, and attachment theory. Healing happens when we tell our stories, and I’m here to help you tell yours.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 16 years of experience. One of my main focus has been trauma and infant mental health, providing dyadic treatment to families. I am a trauma informed clinician with an attachment based lens. My formal schooling was Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Structural Family Therapy. However, throughout my early years I have found a deeper connection as a therapist to Attachment Therapy. I have been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Motivational Interviewing (MI), these are all evidence based treatments.
I’m Melissa Lapides, and my work centers around attachment. If you’re dating or in a relationship, we’re going to look at how your early experiences shaped the way you connect, protect, pursue, withdraw, or repeat the same patterns over and over. Together, we make sense of why you’re experiencing the challenges you’re having — not from a place of blame, but from understanding. I work with both individuals and couples to help them build more harmonious relationships rooted in emotional safety, secure connection, and real love and intimacy. When you understand your attachment style and nervous system, your relationship patterns stop feeling confusing and start feeling workable.
I’m warm, direct, and grounded — think compassionate but honest. I’ll hold space for your pain, and I’ll also gently call you forward when you’re ready. I believe most struggles make sense in the context of your story and your nervous system, not because something is “wrong” with you. My goal is to help you feel more regulated, more connected, and more empowered in your relationships and your life. Healing doesn’t have to be dramatic — it can be steady, real, and deeply transformative.
I believe that authenticity and genuineness should underlie any therapeutic relationship. With 16 years of clinical practice, I have a lot professional training and life experience to draw on. I offer different modalities and levels of therapy, tailored to where you are at and what you are interested in - whether you are seeking transformational change, or merely transformation of a situation or life circumstance. I work from heart-centered approaches and offer a deeper integration of body, mind and being. I specialize in one-on-one therapy, often with a focus on areas such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, and even inspired growth. I also utilize many different therapeutic techniques, such as CBT, am DBT-informed, Attachment Theory, and a gentle focus on more somatic mind/body healing.

Do you feel like something inside is broken? Do you feel less-than-whole emotionally, physically or in relationships and want to learn to put the pieces together to create your optimal life? Do you feel like your own worst enemy, tearing yourself down with negative self-talk?
This is where I come in. Working together as your guide, I help you learn the skills, insights and strategies so that when future situations arrive, you will learn to trust yourself to confront challenges mindfully and compassionately.
I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California and have worked with a range of clients from those with acute crises to those who want a mental health accountability partner to check in with. I’m a holistic psychotherapist who takes the time to make sure you are on the best path to healing. I approach the practice of therapy as a mutual relationship, one that is based on integrity and trust. I conduct each session with a calm, empathetic and attuned presence. My goal is to provide a safe container for you to fully experience all parts of yourself and to foster your personal growth.
“The courage to change is the courage to be a stranger to yourself.”
We say we want to evolve, yet we cling to habits that keep us small. Why? Because the "old you"—even if miserable—is predictable. Change is disorienting because it requires us to step into a life we haven’t rehearsed.
If you sabotage your growth just as things shift, you aren’t "broken". You are likely operating on an internal blueprint designed to protect you from pain, abandonment, and conflict. Your brain is pulling you back to the "unhappy familiar" because it believes staying stuck is safer than moving forward.
My goal is to help you uncover the invisible scripts that keep you stuck. We bypass the cycle of "trying harder" by addressing the identity your habits are fiercely protecting. Real change isn’t a cosmetic fix; it's the brave process of letting go of who you were to make room for who you are becoming.
In session, we will work on:
The Fear of the New: Navigating the "liminal space"—the middle ground where the old you is gone, but the new you doesn't feel like home yet.
Identity Deconstruction: Identifying the stories you tell yourself and testing their validity.
Nervous System Regulation: Learning to stay present when the "alarm bells" of change ring.
Developing Sovereignty: Moving from victimization to empowerment, where you are finally the one making the decisions.
Results for my clients often look like:
The "Pause" Reflex: Noticing the urge to self-sabotage in real-time and choosing a new response before auto-pilot takes over.
Narrative Shift: Moving from a language of past failure to a focus on current capacity.
Tolerance for the Unknown: Feeling "steady ground" even when circumstances are shifting.
Internal Alignment: The friction between your intentions and your actions begins to disappear.

There is a way out. Those who come to see me are often at a crossroads, frustrated at how they are trying to deal with problems and seeking workable strategies and solutions to cope. Therapy is meant to be a space to feel welcome to talk about thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are problematic. Understanding unhealthy behaviors, frustrations with life, and/or unsuccessful efforts to cope can help reveal the obstacles that may block your path to growth and desired outcomes.
Why do we explore? So you can live a life YOU want to live!
Hello, my name is Elliot Jones and I'm committed to helping others relieve distress and achieve their goals. My approach to therapy is collaborating with you to understand your values, goals, experiences, strengths and expectations for therapy. My intention for every session is to create a place of acceptance, compassion and safety that allows for exploration, connection and healing. It will not always be possible but as a rule it is the hope that a person leaves the session feeling better then when they arrived. As a trauma informed therapist compassion, empathy and acceptance will be at the core of treatment. I use action based interventions to sustain and achieve positive changes throughout the week. My overall goal as a therapist is for the client to be ending treatment with a clear direction of where they are headed in life that is rooted in their values and strengths as well as a strong sense of self and acceptance.
Hello there! Are you seeking empowerment, fulfillment, or healing from past trauma? I provide a safe space to accompany you on a journey of self-discovery. I believe in the interconnectedness of our minds, bodies, spirits, and relationships, and I address each of these personal facets to help you emerge holistically. My therapeutic style draws from various approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), attachment therapy approach, and Brainspotting (BSP).

Hi! I’m a licensed psychotherapist (LPCC) based in Berkeley CA and serving clients statewide via Telehealth. I have over 20 years of experience working and volunteering in community mental health, and have been practicing as a psychotherapist since January 2018. I received my MA in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in 2019, and my BA in Psychology from Reed College in 2010. I have been licensed since February 2023.
I am trained as an integrative psychotherapist and work relationally and holistically. I believe all facets of life are (naturally) interrelated--relational, physical/physiological, emotional, cognitive, cultural, societal/political, spiritual, existential... I incorporate orientations, frameworks and insights from across the field: attachment-based (psychodynamic), somatic (Polyvagal, Somatic Experiencing, neuroscience), humanistic, mindfulness, gestalt, self-psychology, ACT, DBT, CBT, systems, existential, holistic/spiritual perspectives and wisdom like Buddhism, narrative, human needs perspectives like self-determination theory, communication frameworks like NVC and insights from the Gottmans, and paradigms and perspectives on social justice like feminism, analysis of power and privilege, intersectionality, intergenerational and societal trauma, psychological/emotional/verbal abuse, narcissism/scapegoating/othering etc.
I am guided by a trauma-informed approach that aims to foster empowering client-centered, collaborative, transparent and intersubjective relational conditions that I believe support people’s natural ability to experience safety, connection, and authentic actualization. My work is informed by a lifetime of deep inquiry into human needs and the complex ways familial, social, cultural, economic and biological contexts inform how they may be nurtured, supported, neglected or actively or insidiously contravened. I believe that human attachments and early life experiences, as well as structural power dynamics in social/societal systems, are typically foundationally informative to the bridge or gap between trauma/suffering and thriving in safety and connection. I think humanness and understanding of / respect for these facts, alone, can be a healing provision of therapy relationship.

Hello, my name is David Fallon and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been licensed for about 20 years. I've worked with all kinds of individuals. I started by working with kids with behavior issues. Mostly I have worked with serious mental illness on the streets serving unhoused individuals. And I have worked with people seeking help in a one on one therapy situation. The first session will be for us to get to know each other and see if this is a good fit. I will be asking a lot of questions. Feel free to ask me any questions that come up as well. I will tell you a little bit about how I work. In the early stages, I basically follow your lead. You tell me what you want to work on, and I ask questions to understand the problem. Together we figure out ways of dealing with these problems. Sometimes it takes more than one or two or even a dozen tries to find the right things that work for you. This process is a journey, and I am here to help guide you through it. I can make recommendations, but it is up to you what you want to do and what works for you. Sometimes difficult thoughts are feelings will come up. Do not be afraid to express them when they do as the more genuine and honest you are, the more I will understand what you are dealing with. That being said, always take things at your own pace. Never feel rushed or forced to say anything you are not ready to say.
“Never look down on anyone unless you are helping them get up,” (Anonymous). Hi, and thanks for visiting my profile! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists. I earned my Master's Degree in Psychology Counseling from Mt. ST. Mary's University in Los Angeles and have been practicing for 15 years. I help recognize unhealthy patterns of thoughts and behaviors.
Choosing a therapist can be challenging and confusing and one might ask, what does therapy involve? From my experience Therapy involves developing a very special relationship between a professionally licensed practitioner called a therapist and one or more people seeking to collaboratively define and achieve constructive change. This relationship is referred to as the therapeutic bond and is considered one of the most important parts of successful therapy. As such our first step in therapy is, from day one, to form that bond by establishing a trusting, non-shaming environment where any adolescent, person, couple, or family will feel safe and sense the therapist listens, cares, responds appropriately and understands.
Therapy on my behalf will involve empathy, genuineness, and mindful acceptance while we collaboratively establish therapeutic changes / goals which you feel are both desired and are ready to work forward and achieve. Our sessions will involve the language of change as perceived by you the client(s), and constructive finding of solutions. You will be able to present your story without fear of rejection dismissal, guilt or shame.
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families. I am very effective with adolescents and young adults, and people working in the stressful world of business, hi tech and active military service members, and veterans. During my time as a therapist, I have built a reputation as a caring, effective therapist who has my client’s best interests at heart. If you feel a connection or that contacting me could be of value, I would be very happy to hear from you. Until such time I wish you the very best in your quest.
Sincerely,
Mike

Hi, I have been in Private Practice for 25 years seeing Individual clients, and couples ( Gay, Lesbian, and straight). After completing my interships and passing the Board Exams, I began studing with individual psychotherapists and psychologists who's work interested me. That's how I choose my specializations.
In my experience its the deeper work that creates lasting change. And courage! Courage to be vulnerable, to trust again, and to give yourself time.
Understanding trauma and being proficient in EMDR attachment based Therapy, I help you rewrite your narrative. Applying Emotionally Focused Couples (EFT) and Individual work, I help individuals and couples get unstuck.
Hi! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based out of Northern California. I began working in mental health in 2012 and have a deep passion for the work that I do. Life doesn't have to feel this heavy.
Anxiety, guilt, worry, sadness, anger - if any of these have been showing up uninvited, you're not alone. And you don't have to keep navigating them on your own. Change is genuinely possible, and I'd love to help you find your way there.
I created a practice built around one thing: helping people like you build a life that feels more connected, more peaceful, and more like yours. Therapy with me is a collaborative, judgment-free space where we slow down, get curious about what's driving your patterns, and work toward something better together.
I wholeheartedly believe it’s my role as a therapist to assist you in realizing, accessing and cultivating the internal and external resources that you already possess. Stress, conflict, and pain are those given aspects of life. I'll support you in healing, reconnecting and making empowering choices to achieve peace and feel more joy on a daily basis. Together, we will create a safe space for vulnerability and strength; both are needed for change. Our sessions will allow you to move through stuck points in your mind, relationships and environment. My approach is empathic, direct, emotionally supportive and solutions focused.
I am a warm, supportive, and client‑centered therapist dedicated to creating a compassionate space where you can explore your experiences with comfort and confidence. My style is friendly, natural, and humanistic. I strive to meet each person with genuine care, curiosity, and respect for their unique story.
I am attentive to learning about your needs, your history, and what feels most important to you right now. Whether you are facing a difficult life transition or navigating complex emotions, I am here to help you clarify your choices, understand your internal world, and move toward the life you want with greater confidence and ease.
• I provide a calm, accepting environment where you can process openly and without judgment.
• I approach therapy with positivity and authenticity, allowing sessions to feel grounded, human, and collaborative.
• I focus on developing a meaningful therapeutic relationship, one that honors your individuality and supports your personal goals.
• Together, we work at a pace that feels safe, intentional, and empowering for you.
My aim is not only to support you through life’s challenges but also to help you grow, heal, and reconnect with your strengths.
In my online practice, which is focused on trauma and grief, I only work with older adults (over 55 years old).

Hi! My name is Ayesha and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I received my Masters from California State University, Sacramento and have been practicing for 6 years. I am a Christian, trauma-focused, strength-based, and humanistic approach therapist. I commonly use person-centered, CBT, motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy to support my clients. I value providing a safe non-judgmental and private space for individuals. My goal is to provide warmth and acceptance during sessions and beyond.
My journey as a therapist began in my childhood. I was raised by a single mother and experienced poverty throughout my childhood. God has been my strength and anchor. I grew up in diverse settings which has given me the ability to have empathy and hold a safe space for all people, especially marginal communities.
Most of my extracurricular activities throughout my life have involved meeting the needs of people. I aspire to be a safe space and sounding board for others and believe giving back is what makes life meaningful.

Hello there! I am first a mom, a sister, an aunt, a grandmother, and a neighbor and friend. In my life, I have naturally been inclined to help others. Realizing this, I decided to embark on a journey to become a professional helper of other humans, to help improve their life and feel better about their choices. Along this journey, I have become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I obtained my MA from Pacific Oaks College in 2013 and my Psy. D. Marital and Family Therapy from The Chicago School in 2021. I then started working in counseling and after completing my continued education for counseling studies with an emphasis on alcohol/drugs abuse studies at UCLA in 2020. I support and promote clients to explore their potential and utilize strengths to manage challenges in life. As your therapist, I strive to be authentic and nurturing and come from this understanding, as my true self, and as a South-American therapist. My years of experience and navigating through life while learning the art of therapy and counseling helped me to develop a strong patient-centered approach to join patients where they are at. Feedback I have heard from clients is that my experience working with different cultural backgrounds helps clients feel safe and they report that I have a more inclusive therapeutic relationship with them than other therapists.
