If you’ve been feeling disconnected, anxious, or weighed down by the past, you don’t have to go through it alone. I’m Sujin Ma, PhD, LPCC, BC-DMT, a licensed therapist and board-certified dance/movement therapist. I help people feel more connected, understood, and at ease within themselves. My approach is gentle and collaborative, blending conversation, mindfulness, and creative expression. As an immigrant and bilingual therapist who has lived in several countries, I strive to create a space where all parts of you feel seen, supported, and accepted.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, I’ll invite you to share what brings you here and what you hope to gain from therapy. We’ll move at a comfortable pace, exploring your story and current challenges while beginning to build trust and safety. You’ll get a sense of my style—collaborative, gentle, and curious—and together we’ll start shaping goals that feel meaningful and doable for you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Clients often describe me as grounding, intuitive, and deeply attuned. I integrate mind-body awareness with evidence-based tools, helping clients feel safe in their bodies while gaining clarity and emotional balance. My multicultural lens and trauma-informed approach support healing across identity, culture, and life transitions.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with people who feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck in old patterns and are ready to heal and reconnect with themselves. Many of my clients are immigrants, BIPOC, or LGBTQ+ individuals navigating stress, trauma, identity questions, or life transitions. I also have experience supporting people coping with chronic health conditions, depression, anxiety, and the emotional impact of complex life experiences. My style is warm and grounding—I help clients rebuild a sense of safety in their bodies, strengthen relationships, and move toward a more balanced and authentic life.
