As a licensed psychotherapist in California, I have been working in the field for over 25 years. I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage Family Therapy. I am here to empower both women and men who struggle with anxiety, trauma, grief, and depression. I have also incorporated the use of journaling, art, and sandtray therapy into my practice.
Our first session will be to discuss and identify any presenting challenges you may be facing. That way I can attempt to create a plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
As a clinician, I am responsive and empathetic to your needs as a client. I will make sure that we have established what the root cause in order to make some measurable progress in future sessions.
The focus will be how past trauma, repeating unhealthy patterns, and negative self-talk influence one’s current ability to cope. It is important to address trauma and how insecure attachment may be contributing to current issues you are seeking help for. The goal is to develop healthier coping skills and learn new ways of relating to yourself and others.
I focus on how trauma and anxiety overtake decision making and how it becomes a learned response over time.
