I believe that we all deserve a safe space to process our experiences, and my primary goal is to provide you that space. I provide a person-centered approach that emphasizes helping my clients build self-compassion, as I believe that it is only from a place of self-compassion that we can feel grounded within ourselves enough to develop a compassionate relationship with others around us. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, trauma informed, and practical, and I believe that we are all on a healing journey and see myself as a fellow traveler. It is an honor to walk by your side
In our first session I will conduct a history intake, asking questions about family of origin, etc. It can feel arduous but we will go slow and at a pace that feels comfortable
I have been both a client and a therapist and am sensitive to the nature of the therapeutic relationship. It's admirable to open yourself up to someone and it is my priority to make sure that you're therapeutic journey is safe, secure, and helpful as you navigate your life.
We will work great if you are eager to understand how you got to this moment right now, open to exploring past attachments, and wanting to do depth work
I offer an existential approach by working with clients to find their sense of responsibility for their life and find acceptance in the in between of being a human on this earth
I utilize an attachment based approach which allows us to look at patterns of relating and ways that our primary attachment figures have impacted us
I offer a psychonalytic perspective by holding a framework for the unconscious thoughts, desires, and motivators to come to the surface so we can understand more of how we got here.
I offer gender affirming therapy for all individuals looking to have a safe place to process, explore, and celebrate their multiple identities
Being a feminist therapist means that I look at the individual as they are situation in a system. I bring this in to session by offering a systems perspective on the client's hardships
