Welcome, I am glad you are here. I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker (LCSW) in Texas, I obtained my Master's from the University of Houston and now have over 9 Years working as a Medical Social Worker. I have worked with those who are experiencing new medical diagnoses, chronic illness, life changes, loss of loved ones and anxiety. I am a great listener and will work hard to help you find your strengths. I like to always help find ways to cope and work through current difficulties.
In our first session, we'll start with brief introductions, policies, and what brings you to therapy. I will ask you some questions and you will have the opportunity to ask me some too. This will help us come up with a plan for us to work through in follow up sessions.
Being bilingual and having worked in the medical setting for over 9 years, I have worked with people from all walks of life. Many have faced different issues including long term illness, sadness, feeling anxious and loss of a loved one. I believe every person has strengths and will work hard to help you identify them and use them to help you reach your goals.
I look forward to working with adults and older adults who are interested in making a change. Many times facing new medical diagnoses, postpartum or chronic disease can be life changing. I am happy to help if you are feeling overwhelmed and anxious and do not know how to meet your current goals or where to start.
