Hi! I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with 16 years of practice. My specialty is helping clients become a better person through motivational interviewing and assisting clients in identifying negative thinking errors. I am currently working with juveniles in corrections (for the state) but have experienced the geriatric population as well as outpatient.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session there will be brief introductions. I will listen to your concerns and what sent you on the journey to where you are now. We will identify goals that you wish to accomplish and answer ant questions you may have about treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked in the mental health field for 16 years, I have learned to become non-judgmental and empathetic. Great listening skills are used in identifying the root causes of your challenges and to effectively create a treatment plan that leads to measurable goals.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Hello, I am Felecia Arthur, LISW. MSW-S (a licensed therapist). I have been an active mental health clinician/ therapist for 15 years specializing in post-traumatic stress disorders, relationships, teens and adults therapy and specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). The favorite part of my job is helping people transform into the happier, healthier, and more empowered versions of themselves.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use this method to increase client's awareness of inaccurate or negative thinking so they can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way. My experience in using the CBT method is beneficial when working with and treating mental health disorders, such as depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or an eating disorder. CBT has also been helpful in assisting clients on learning how to better manage stressful life situations.
