(she/her)
I am a compassionate therapist who creates a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel heard and empowered. My experience as a first responder for children in crisis strengthened my ability to remain calm and grounded in high‑stress situations. I’m committed to helping clients build practical tools for resilience and growth. Outside of work, I enjoy nature, hiking, baking, reading, and traveling.
Together, we’ll explore what brought you to counseling, clarify your goals, and talk about how you hope to grow through this process. I’ll also check in about what helps you feel most supported in a therapeutic space. During intake, I’ll gather some background and history so we can thoughtfully determine the best direction for your care moving forward.
What makes me unique as a therapist is the balance I bring between warmth and steadiness. I naturally show up as hopeful and encouraging, while also offering a grounded presence that brings calm into overwhelming moments, a strength shaped by my work in high‑intensity environments. I strive to create a space where you can exhale, feel supported, and know you’re not alone. At the same time, I’m comfortable gently challenging you when it’s helpful, supporting you in growing through life’s hard moments rather than just getting through them. My goal is to walk alongside you with compassion, honesty, and confidence in your ability to heal and move forward.
I work with young adults, individuals, and couples navigating major life transitions, relationship challenges, and patterns of conflict that feel hard to break. Many of my clients are exploring identity, shifting roles, burnout, or redefining what they want from themselves and others. I also support those healing from church hurt or spiritual trauma, as well as clients working through women’s issues, gender identity, relational conflict, PTSD, and college or young‑adult concerns. I have a special interest in working with autistic and neurodivergent individuals, especially those who are late‑identified or who feel exhausted from masking, who want a space where they can show up authentically. My approach is collaborative, affirming, and centered on helping you build healthier relationships, clearer boundaries, and a deeper sense of self as you move through the changes in your life.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my private practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and problematic behaviors. I collaborate with clients to examine the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and actions, and to develop more balanced, realistic perspectives. Through structured sessions, skill-building exercises, and practical homework, I support clients in building healthier coping strategies, improving mood, and creating lasting behavioral change.
Motivational Interviewing
In my private practice, I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore and resolve ambivalence about change in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. I focus on strengthening clients’ intrinsic motivation by using open-ended questions, reflective listening, affirmations, and collaborative goal-setting. Rather than directing change, I guide clients in identifying their own values and reasons for growth, empowering them to move toward meaningful and sustainable behavioral change.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
In private practice, I will use DBT to help clients build practical skills for managing emotions, reducing distress, and improving relationships. Through a balance of validation and change-focused strategies, I will guide clients in developing mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. By integrating these tools into sessions and encouraging clients to apply them between sessions, I will support them in creating meaningful, lasting change in their daily lives.
Strength-Based
In my private practice, I use a strengths-based approach to help clients recognize and build upon their existing abilities, resilience, and personal resources. Rather than focusing solely on problems or pathology, I collaborate with clients to identify their skills, values, cultural assets, and past successes as foundations for growth. Drawing from strengths-based and positive psychology principles, I support clients in reframing challenges as opportunities for empowerment. This approach fosters confidence, self-efficacy, and hope while guiding clients toward meaningful and sustainable change.
