My name is Renè Perez. I have been a counselor for over 15 years. I enjoy helping clients learn effective coping skills and improve their mental and emotional health. I am married with four children. I like music and movies. I’ve been in 17 movies as a background actor and in roles. I enjoy art and traveling with my family and friends.

I like working together with clients to help them reach their goals. I get good results with clients wiling to try new things and see what works for them.

My expertise is helping children and teens. I enjoy helping them improve their mental and emotional health. I assist them in developing a treasure box of coping skills they can use the rest of their lives.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have used CBT with most clients and they have achieved good results.
Child Parent Psychotherapy
Working together with the child and parent when the child is the client is the best way to achieve their goals in certain cases. Improving that primary relationship helps the child’s mental and emotional health and give the parent coping skills to parent them effectively.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
It is very important to be culturally sensitive with clients so they feel comfortable being themselves and can make good progress.
Trauma Informed Care
This treatment method is vital for clients who have been through any trauma that continues to affect them.
Play Therapy
I use Play therapy often with children. Legos, coloring books and art are great way to get them to open up about difficult topics while playing.
