I have 10 years of experience as an Ohio clinical counselor: working with all ages, diverse backgrounds, and various therapeutic settings. I work from a trauma informed, but laid back, and non-judgmental lense to meet you where you are and look at your symptoms as a holistic picture. I believe in a mind, body, spirit connection and empower clients to build a more balanced lifestyle.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session is to establish a safe comfortable space to introduce ourselves and get a feel for therapeutic fit. We'll assess symptoms, stressors, and your reasons for seeking therapy to determine the best therapy types and goals for you.

My relaxed, authentic, and sometimes humorous approach to treatment makes clients feel more comfortable opening up, thus benefitting from deeper level processing. I take a proactive therapy approach, beyond talk therapy, providing strategies to help you regulate all areas of your life.

My approach is empathetic, rooted in acceptance, and built on the foundations of restructuring unhelpful beliefs, regulating emotions/stress, and finding motivation to live a life you deserve.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is often used as the underlying foundation to all other therapy approaches. Using the model of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors all being connected you will learn how to challenge your negative thoughts to reframe your expectations and feel more motivated to live a healthier life.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT is used often to learn how to regulate emotions by using both emotional and logical reasoning when processing experiences.
