New to Grow
Welcome - I am glad you are here! Life is a complex mix of beauty and messiness, and I believe that while time passes, true healing requires intention. Our experiences—from our earliest memories to the present—shape how we move through the world. I am here to help you gently navigate those layers, understanding how your past influences your present so you can intentionally reshape your future. My Approach I provide a safe, affirming, and non-judgmental space where you are always the expert on your own life. My practice blends: Trauma-Informed & Strengths-Based Care: Honoring your history while focusing on your inherent resilience. Practical Tools: Providing actionable skills you can use outside of our sessions to support your daily well-being. Collaborative Growth: Whether you are navigating grief, trauma, or a major life transition, we will work together to build a path that reflects your unique needs. The Goal Together, we will work toward a future where you can hold compassion for your past, purpose in your present, and genuine hope for your future. You don’t have to find your footing alone.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first meeting is all about connection and clarity. It’s a dedicated time for you to share your story and define what you hope to achieve in therapy. To ensure you receive the highest quality of care, we’ll use a few evidence-based tools to assess your current mood and overall wellbeing. This clinical "snapshot" helps me tailor our sessions to the specific models that will work best for you. Most importantly, this is a two-way conversation. You’ll have plenty of space to ask me questions, ensuring you feel confident and comfortable that we are the right match for your journey.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My approach is built on a foundation of frontline advocacy and deep clinical expertise. Before entering private practice, I served in roles that demanded both grit and compassion: Case Manager: Navigating complex systems to secure vital resources. Child Welfare Worker: Guiding families through the profound process of reunification. Substance Use Counselor: Supporting individuals in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) to maintain sobriety through active listening, skill-building, and radical respect. These roles taught me that resilience isn’t just a concept—it’s a lived reality. A Personalized Perspective I don’t just see a "client"; I see a person with a unique history and an incredible capacity for change. My commitment to this work is also deeply personal. Having navigated my own history of trauma and the complexities of a family impacted by alcoholism, I understand that while every story is unique, the pain within it deserves a witness who has walked in similar shoes.
