I love working with people in early recovery from addictions, and have my own recovery to base my experiences on. I also love helping people with their own personal struggles and believe everyone is recovering and trying to heal from something! I love using Positive Psychology and Strength-Based therapy to build upon a person's strengths and celebrate what is going right in someone's life, rather than focusing on what is wrong. My hope is to help people "remember who they are" at their core and realize you are more than what is going on with you right now in life! :)

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Every first session will be an assessment with a therapist, but also we will get to know one another to make sure we are a good fit for one another. We will build a therapeutic alliance and connection that will deepen over the first few sessions, before diving into deeper work.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Besides my own personal recovery that I build on, I also have a lot of enthusiasm for deep therapeutic work. I love helping people get those "Ah-ha moments." I am always inspired by the insight and courage of someone doing the deep-dive and love to help people arrive at that point and make changes in their lives. I am honored to have that front-row seat into someone's awakening and become a more authentic person through the process.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love helping people wake back up to who they are as their "highest, best self." I have helped many people in early recovery (from whatever they are recovering from) and step into the person they hope to become. We can use many different tools to help that happen, but DOING is what changes people. I hope to work with people who are ready to get busy and make changes.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT has been used in individual sessions by therapists for decades and is what is generally referred to as "talk therapy." I like CBT because it offers direction and a solution for the cycle of "thoughts, that lead to emotions, that lead to behaviors."

Positive Psychology

Positive Psychology is a way to celebrate who people are and what their strengths are, rather than focus on "what is wrong with them."
