I am a licensed mental health therapist with over 25 years of clinical experience working with adolescents and adults across the lifespan. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals and families in a variety of settings, including community mental health, trauma and abuse treatment programs, school-based services, and private practice. Having been part of this community for many years, I am very familiar with local resources, schools, and support systems. This connection to the community allows me to help guide clients toward helpful resources when needed and to collaborate with primary care providers, schools, and psychiatric professionals so that care is thoughtful, coordinated, and supportive of the whole person.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting counseling is a meaningful first step, and it’s completely normal to feel a mix of emotions as you come in. In our first session, you can expect a calm, supportive space where you are met with warmth, respect, and genuine care. My goal is to help you feel comfortable at your own pace—there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. This first meeting is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a sense of how I work. Together, we’ll begin to identify goals and discuss how I can best support you moving forward. Above all, you can expect a safe, confidential, and responsive environment where you feel heard, understood, and supported. We’ll spend time getting to know what brings you in, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from counseling. I’ll ask some gentle questions to better understand your background, strengths, and current challenges, while also giving you space to share your story in your own way.
