Hello, My name is Jamila. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Florida and Ohio. I have experience providing in-home, out-patient and school counseling with additional experience in various social services settings supporting children and families with reunification and adoption. Supporting and guiding clients through difficult traumas and life's challenges in a safe and nonjudgmental environment is what I strive for. My goal is to assist children, adolescents, and adults to reach their highest potential and to help couples and families live more harmonious and joyful lives together.
I have been a professional social work counselor for around 15 years, working primarily with adults that struggle with severe persistent mental illness. I have been able to utilize and hone my skills of active listening, empathy and guidance over the years to help clients gain resiliency throughout the struggles they may face with SPMI. Over the course of my career thus far, I have worked with clients from varying backgrounds and age ranges of 18 up to senior adults, helping them discover new coping skills and listening to their journey.
I specialize in building a strong and healthy rapport through focusing on client strengths and interests to assist in their personal growth. Life can be difficult most days, but some days and seasons life can be overwhelming. When life gets overwhelming sometimes we need to reach out to an outside source for help and guidance. I am here to provide that help and guidance that may be needed during a specific difficult season of life.
I am a kind and supportive therapist. I provide a space for you to process your experience, pain and trauma so that you can move forward freely. Many of us carry unresolved concerns and issues; many of us have unresolved trauma. This weight keeps us back from being who we wish to be. I can remain present even during very difficult conversations.
I’m Pam Sykes, a mental health provider with more than 12 years of experience offering online counseling to teens and adults, including individuals and couples. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. I understand that therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so I take the time to understand what you’re experiencing and what you need to feel supported as you move forward.
I’m a clinical psychologist based in Ohio who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, identity concerns, and the pressure to “have it all together.” I take a genuinely collaborative approach to therapy and put a lot of care into building a strong, trusting relationship where you don’t have to censor yourself.
My work is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which means we’ll focus less on “fixing” or fighting your feelings and more on getting clear about your values and building a life that feels meaningful to you. Instead of trying to shut emotions down, I help clients learn how to make space for feelings, respond with compassion, and use practical coping skills to stay present and move toward what matters most.
I’ve spent much of my career working with college and graduate students, so I’m familiar with the unique stressors of academic life, emerging adulthood, and major life transitions. I approach therapy through a lens of cultural humility, actively honoring how your race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, neurodivergence, religion or spirituality, class background, and other identities shape your experiences. I work to create a space where your culture and identities are not just “respected,” but meaningfully integrated into our work together, and where your values and lived experience guide our goals and the way we move through therapy.
As a Certified Geek Therapist, I enjoy working with clients whose “geeky” interests—like video games, anime, superheroes, board games, and TTRPGs—are a meaningful part of their lives. Together, we can use your fandoms and favorite stories as tools for insight, coping, and growth, treating them as strengths rather than quirks you have to hide in therapy.
My name is Kirsten and I am passionate about supporting clients as a clinical social worker. Seeking help takes a lot of courage and I’m glad you’re here. As a trauma therapist, my passion in supporting clients on their healing journey came from my own healing journey and having people support me. I practice from a holistic approach and endeavor to foster connections between all parts of you including mind, body, heart, and spirit. I specialize in helping clients that may be struggling with symptoms from trauma and complex trauma using IFS, EMDR, somatic work, and attachment work. I work from relational and trauma informed practices to help you accomplish your goals. I truly believe that you have the capacity and love within you to heal and reconnect with or find yourself.
I try to provide my clients with assistance on determining what their primary goals are in therapy and what problems are standing in their way. My ideal client is someone who recognizes that they want to change something in their lives that is preventing them from moving forward. Ideally, they are self-motivated (not engaging in therapy because a family member or loved one is pressuring them to change). In addition, the client is willing to work on their problems outside of the therapy session and put into practice the skills they have learned. My approach combines both empathy and practicality. While I value good rapport with a client I also want to provide them with the tools they need to better their lives.

I am a woman who grew up in a military family that has moved all around the world and changed many schools growing up. I started my career in juvenile corrections, then addiction studies, then mental health and now integrated healthcare. I specialize in the whole person and encouraging them to be the person they wish to be and seek to be. Individualized treatment is essential.

My approach focuses on creating a non-judgmental, collaborative space where individuals can build sustainable, healthy coping skills and rediscover a sense of purpose. My desire is for clients to make the long-term life change that they desire.
Reaching out is a meaningful first step— I am glad you are here. For me, therapy is about creating a genuine connection where we can talk openly, make sense of things and figure out what comes next based on what matters to you. After 25 years working in behavioral health with adults from many different backgrounds, I've learned there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I value genuine connection, collaboration and even a little humor when it fits the moment. I also understand that life doesn't always follow the plan we had in mind and sometimes we need support navigating the chapters we didn't expect.
