I’m a therapist with a background rooted in supporting youth, adults, and families through life’s more complex and challenging moments. With over five years of experience as a school social worker, I’ve had the privilege of supporting youth and adults through moments of growth, transition, and healing. Before that, I worked in residential programs, juvenile justice settings, and shelters for unhoused youth, experiences that shaped my deep respect for people’s strength, stories, and capacity to heal. My therapeutic style is compassionate and collaborative. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported, whether you're navigating anxiety, life transitions, past trauma or simply feeling stuck, I'm here to walk alongside you with care and curiosity.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll discuss your goals, challenges, and how I can best support you through therapy. We will take things at your pace, recognizing that we just met and sharing what feels most comfortable for you in that moment is what is most important.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I prioritize having a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for all individuals. I am committed to creating a space that regardless of gender, cultural background, or identity, you feel heard, valued, and empowered. I believe in meeting each person where they are and offering therapy that is respectful of their diverse lived experiences and identities. You are the expert of your life and I am here to help you navigate through the challenges that may arise. At Mindful Moments, I use a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities to tailor sessions to the unique needs of each child or adult. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness to help individuals develop healthy coping skills, manage emotions, and foster personal growth. I also incorporate elements of play, art, and movement into sessions to support engagement, emotional expression, and regulation, especially with younger clients. While these are not delivered as formal play or art therapy, they are thoughtfully used to enhance the therapeutic process.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with kids, teens, and adults who are going through tough moments, feeling anxious, sad, disconnected, or unsure of how to cope. You may be dealing with trauma, big life changes, or the effects of being involved in the criminal legal system. Or you may be struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, friendships, or managing uncomfortable emotions. No matter what brings you here, I strive to help clients feel more confident, manage their emotions, handle stress in healthier ways, and build stronger relationships with themselves and others.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps individuals identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors. By shifting these patterns, children and adults can develop healthier thinking and emotional responses to everyday challenges.

EMDR

EMDR focuses on helping the brain reprocess difficult or traumatic memories so they no longer cause strong emotional reactions. It uses techniques like eye movements or tapping while recalling specific experiences. EMDR is especially helpful for reducing the emotional impact of past events and promoting healing from trauma or stress.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness practices help individuals develop a present-focused awareness, reduce stress, and improve emotional regulation. Through mindfulness exercises, children and adults learn how to ground themselves in the moment and cope with anxiety and stress more effectively.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

This short-term therapy emphasizes finding practical solutions to specific problems. We focus on identifying strengths and resources, creating actionable goals, and making positive changes in a short time frame
