New to Grow
With over 20 years experience as a School Social Worker, I recognized a growing need for students and families to have access to quality outpatient counseling and community resources. Throughout my career, I often saw individuals struggle to find a therapist they truly connected with or face barriers to receiveing the support they needed. That inspired me to become the change I wanted to see by extending my services beyond the school setting. My goal is to provide a warm, compassionate, and culturally responsive space where children, adolescents and adults feel seen, heard and empowered. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for healing, and I am committed to helping each client build the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to navigate life's challenges and create lasting, meaningful change,
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. My goal is to create a comfortable, judgement-free environment where you can share your story at your own pace. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, your current concers, your personal strenghts, and what you hope to accomplish. Together, we'll begin devloping a treatment plan that reflects your needs, values, and goals. You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin, taking the first step is enough.
Clients often describe me as compassionate, authentic, patient, and easy to talk to. I believe in building strong therapeutic relationships based on trust, empathy, and respect.
I work best with individuals who are ready to make meaningful changes in their lives, even if they're not sure where to start. Many of my clients seek therapy because they are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, navigating major life transitions, experiencing stress or burnout, or struggling with self-esteem and relationship challenges. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, helping clients clarify their goals, build resilience, and create a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps us identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that may be contributing to anxiety, stress, depression, or low self-esteem. Together, we'll develop healthier ways of thinking and practical strategies for managing life's challenges.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution Focused Brief Treatment (SFBT) focuses on what's working rather than what's wrong. We'll build on your existing strengths, identify achievable goals, and create practical steps to help you move forward with confidence.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps you develop a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions instead of allowing them to control your life. You'll learn to accept what you can't change, connect with your personal values, and take meaningful action toward the life you desire.
Strength-Based
Strengths-Based Therapy recognizes that you already possess many of the qualities needed to overcome challenges. Together, we'll identify your strengths, build resilience, and use those strengths as a foundation for growth, healing, and lasting change.
