New to Grow
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker providing therapy for children, adolescents, and women. My work is rooted in creating a space where people feel seen, supported, and move forward. I believe every person carries a unique story, and therapy can be a place to explore those experiences, build healthier coping strategies, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on honoring where you’ve been while supporting where you’re going. Through my practice, The Restoration Room, I aim to create an environment where healing, reflection, and growth are possible. I believe restoration often begins with being heard and supported in a meaningful way. It is a privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate challenges, strengthen their resilience, and move forward into the next chapter of their lives.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, my goal is really to get to know you. I want to understand what you may be carrying, where you’ve been, and where you hope to go. We’ll talk about what led you to therapy and begin exploring the goals you may have for yourself. I never come into therapy believing I am the expert on your life! You are! My role is to walk alongside you, support you, and help you move toward the goals we identify together. During our first session, I also like to talk about what you’re hoping for from me as your therapist so we can build a relationship that feels supportive, collaborative, and meaningful for you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My Greatest Strengths One of my greatest strengths as a clinician is my ability to create a space where people feel comfortable showing up as they truly are. I also believe in showing up as myself in the therapy room. I value authenticity and connection, and I find that when clients feel they are sitting with a real person, not just a professional, they are more able to be open and honest about what they are experiencing. I approach therapy with curiosity, compassion, and respect for each person’s story. I don’t see myself as the expert on your life, again you are. My role is to walk alongside you, ask thoughtful questions, and support you as you work toward the goals that matter most to you. Clients often appreciate that I balance warmth with intention. I care deeply about the people I work with, but I also want therapy to feel meaningful and helpful. My goal is for clients to leave sessions with greater clarity, stronger coping tools, and a deeper understanding of themselves.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with children, adolescents, and women who are seeking support as they navigate emotional challenges, life transitions, and personal growth. For children, I help young clients who may be experiencing behavioral or emotional challenges, anxiety, difficulty expressing their feelings, or struggles related to school, family changes, or social relationships. Therapy provides a supportive space where children can develop emotional awareness, build healthy coping skills, and learn ways to express themselves more confidently. For adolescents, I work with teens who may be navigating identity development, peer relationships, academic stress, anxiety, mood concerns, or challenges related to family dynamics. Adolescence can be a complex stage of life, and therapy can offer a safe and supportive space for teens to process their experiences, strengthen emotional regulation, and build resilience as they grow into themselves. For women, I support those who may be navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, anxiety, or a desire for deeper self-understanding and personal growth. Therapy can provide space for women to reflect on their experiences, strengthen self-confidence, and develop tools that support emotional well-being and healthy relationships. Across all populations, my goal is to create a compassionate and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward with clarity and confidence.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based approach I use to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In my practice, I support clients in identifying unhelpful thinking patterns, building emotional awareness, and developing practical coping strategies. I often use CBT techniques to help children, adolescents, and families manage anxiety, regulate emotions, and respond to challenges in healthier ways. My goal is to equip clients with skills they can apply in their daily lives to support long-term emotional well-being.
Faith based therapy
While I am not a licensed Christian counselor, I am a believer in Jesus Christ and understand the important role faith can play in the healing process. For clients who desire it, I am able to integrate Christian values and faith-based perspectives into therapy while also using evidence-based mental health practices. My approach honors both spiritual beliefs and clinical knowledge, creating a space where faith and emotional well-being can be explored together.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
In my practice, I use mindfulness techniques to help clients slow down, manage stress, and respond to difficult emotions with greater awareness rather than reacting automatically. These practices can support emotional regulation, reduce anxiety, and help clients develop a deeper sense of balance and self-understanding.
Motivational Interviewing
In my practice, I use this method to support clients in identifying personal goals, resolving ambivalence, and building confidence in their ability to make meaningful changes. This approach encourages self-reflection and empowers clients to move toward healthier behaviors and decisions.
Narrative
In my work, I help clients explore how past experiences may have shaped the way they see themselves and their lives. Together, we work to separate the person from the problem and begin to rewrite those narratives in a way that highlights strength, resilience, and growth. I believe every person’s story matters, and therapy can be a space where that story is honored while creating room for healing and new possibilities.
