LISW, 9 years of experience
New to Grow
I am passionate about supporting others in improving their mental health and overall wellbeing and have been a dedicated mental health therapist for the past 8 years. I have provided therapy multiple settings including school-based and outpatient community agency collaborating with substance abuse clinicians. I have worked with children in a variety of settings for over 20 years. Before becoming a therapist, I was a preschool teacher and residential therapy technician for autistic youth.
Our sessions will focus on what you determine you need and growth you are hoping to pursue. Whether you are looking for support with difficult life experiences, learn new skills to improve mood, explore new perspectives, or repair relationships, together we will develop the change and peace you wish for in your life.
I am skilled at blending therapeutic methods to customize treatment to the specific individual I am working with. I do not rigidly adhere to one single treatment method, but instead integrate interventions to holistically treat each client. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is crucial so we can connect and trust each other through the process. I particularly enjoy connecting with clients who feel natural and comfortable using humor in sessions.
I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Clients often seeks treatment for anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, family changes, behavior problems, emotional regulation concerns, and more. Building trust and connection are the foundations of a successful therapeutic relationship so I strive to create a welcoming and psychologically safe environment so that we can partner to reach your goals.
I integrate therapeutic interventions from a variety of approaches including trauma informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (t-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Strengths-based Perspective.
