New to Grow
I am here to provide a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported without judgment. For more than 20 years, I have helped adults and young people navigate grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and other difficult experiences. I will meet you where you are and offer compassionate support as you move toward healing and meaningful change. I have a special passion for EMDR therapy and am committed to providing skilled care tailored to your needs. I am deeply grateful to be a mental health counselor and it is a privilege to walk alongside you on your journey.
Your first session is a chance to feel comfortable, ask questions, and share what brings you to therapy. We will explore what matters most to you, what you hope to gain from counseling, and the changes you would like to see. We will create goals that reflect your unique needs, priorities, and strengths.
I bring kindness, compassion, and genuine care to each session while honoring your unique experiences and needs. I approach our work with humility and remain committed to learning and growing so I can provide thoughtful and high-quality support.
You may be navigating a major life stressor, grieving a loss, healing from trauma, or adjusting to a significant transition. Perhaps something difficult happened recently or you have been carrying the effects of a painful experience for many years. Wherever you are in your journey, you do not have to face it alone. Together, we can create a path toward healing, resilience, and meaningful change.
You have strengths, abilities, and resilience within you. We will explore what has helped you through difficult times and build on the resources that support you. By recognizing and using these strengths, you can move toward your goals with greater confidence and hope.
EMDR therapy can help you process distressing memories and experiences that may still affect your thoughts, emotions, and reactions. We will begin by building trust, exploring your goals, and developing coping skills to help you feel safe and grounded. When you feel ready, we will use bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements, to support your brain's natural ability to process difficult experiences.
You do not have to navigate your loss alone. You will be provided a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can express your feelings. We will honor your loss. We will build on your strengths, develop coping strategies that support you, and help you gradually adjust to life after loss at a pace that feels right for you.
The stories you hold about yourself and your experiences can shape how you see your life and what feels possible. We will explore how challenges may have influenced those stories while uncovering your strengths, values, and moments of resilience. You can begin to develop a more empowering perspective that reflects who you are and supports the meaningful changes you want to make.
Your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected and can influence how you feel and respond to daily challenges. We will identify thought patterns that may no longer be helpful and explore more balanced perspectives. You will develop practical coping skills and strategies that support meaningful, lasting change in your life.
