(she/they)
New to Grow
I listen with empathy and compassion. I meet people where they are, whether they are ready to dive right in and make changes, or need time to engage and decide if therapy is right for them. I enjoy connecting your past experiences with current life choices. I love helping people see that they have all of the skills they need for change, they just may not know it yet. Incorporating laughter, moments of relaxation and finding joy are a must for our sessions. My ultimate goal is to have the client leaving the session feeling better than when they started.
Our first session will be a space for introductions, gathering information and for anything you want to share.
I am an African American Lesbian who brings a unique understanding to struggles that people may experience. I am also a single parent to two adoptive teenage boys. I learn from them everyday. You'll have someone who gets that life can be very difficult and one has to make choices to survive everyday. I also understand that its difficult to do that alone. I also provide a space where anything is welcomed; sexuality, culture, gender, polyamorous relationships, single, married. all of it is welcomed and honored here.
