Psychology has always been my passion and I truly love working in the field to provide a warm environment for my clients to grow. I am a licensed mental health clinician (LMHC) with 8+ years of experience providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents and adults. I have found that I most enjoy providing therapeutic services to adolescents and adults and am knowledgeable in a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, conduct disorders, substance abuse and difficulty adjusting to life changes. Over the past few years, I have found that I have gained a great deal of personal and professional experience with woman suffering from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). This is a very underserved population and I hope to help change that one client at a time. Other underserved populations I have extensive experience with are adult children of alcoholics and those suffering from religious trauma syndrome.
I have 12 years of clinical experience working with teens, young adults and adults. In addition to working with common mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal challenges, etc., I have broader experience working with children of divorce, trauma, grief and LGBTQAI+ populations.
We all have a fundamental need to feel known, cared for and understood and I am honored to have a career in which I can be that person for others. The therapeutic process is hard to explain and better to be experienced. As we feel known, cared for and understood by not only another but with time, ourselves, it’s a special kind of magic that can bring about deep healing and shifts.
A little bit about me; I was born and raised in Miami, Florida and have also lived in Boston, Massachusetts and Boulder, Colorado. I am now back home, married and a mother of two wild and wonderful boys. Some things that I love are music, nature, hidden gems, good food, deep talks, movies, a good workout, and adventure!
First and foremost, I am a wife and mother. I have real life experiences that can relate to people. I have been treating clients for 25 years. I use real life, practical coping skills to help clients in real life situations. I have worked in community based centers, schools and therapeutic individual settings. These experiences allow me to have a clear, rounded understanding of people and their life situations.
Originally from New Jersey, I earned my B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I moved to New York City in 1997 and completed my MSW at the Wurzweiler School of Social Work. In 2000, I completed a certification in psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the Post Graduate Center for Mental Health. Immediately after moving to Florida later that year in 2002, I completed additional coursework at Barry University and obtained my social work licensure in Florida.
I have worked with children, adolescents and young adults in several areas utilizing a diverse spectrum of training for 25 years. These include loss and bereavement, trauma, crisis, eating disorders, anxiety, depression and adjustment disorders. I started my private practice in 2003 in Miami.
Using my background in several orientations and theories, along with experience gained over a long clinical social work career, I conduct comprehensive assessments that best address areas of emotional and behavioral concerns.
I stay up to date on all the most effective training and information and aim to create a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental environment by meeting each individual where they are in their struggles and development. This process helps one discover the inherent strengths that allow change to happen ensuring best therapeutic results.
BROKEN CRAYONS STILL COLOR! And I am living proof of that! Trauma, mistakes, bad decisions, regrets....none of it defines who we TRULY are inside. These experiences help us to grow stronger and learn more about ourselves in the long run. Growth and healing is what it's all about.
Hi! I'm Sabrina. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of working with children, adults, and families. I bring that experience to the therapy room. I have a high emotional intelligence, and I believe that EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION is a SUPERPOWER!!
I'm an advocate for family preservation and women's empowerment. Women play central roles in nurturing families and strengthening communities. However, they can lose themselves while caring for others. I love to help women prioritize their own self-care needs to help them be the best version of themselves when they show up for others. Let me remind you of who you are!
I especially enjoy working with teenagers and helping to bridge the communication gap within the family unit that often shows up as children get older. I am Christian and I have a wealth of experience with African American families and am LGBTQ+ friendly.
I offer a solution focused approach to therapy. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy empowers clients to own their abilities in solving life’s problems and recognize their strengths. Rather than traditional psychotherapy that focuses on how a problem was derived, SFT allows for a goal-oriented focus to problem-solving.
I am available in the late afternoons/evenings, and I am accepting new clients.
My career started as a classroom teacher and school counselor. I currently have over 20 years of experience working with students and families. In addition to my school counseling career, I am a crisis clinician in a major hospital in the DFW metroplex and work in over 32 emergency rooms providing on-call patient care. We all face unexpected challenges which sometimes leave us feeling hopeless and powerless. I believe that we have the ability to make healthy and appropriate choices regardless of the circumstances in which we may find ourselves. My role as a therapist is to assist and support clients as they learn new ways of coping and adjusting to life’s challenges. Counseling will vary depending upon one’s personality, stage of life, strengths or particular concern. Getting started can feel overwhelming. You have no idea where to even begin. You’ve been putting off therapy because you’re afraid it won’t help. More than anything you’d like to be able to feel happy again. You’d like to be able to put yourself out there more and to create deeper, more meaningful relationships with others. You want to have the courage to be your authentic self without hiding behind a mask.
Have you or your child been feeling overwhelmed lately? Have you been looking for a therapist who is open-minded, compassionate, and creates a safe space for you or your child to be vulnerable? Look no further! My mission is to create a safe space for children, adolescents, and young adults to help them cope with difficult situations and, overall, improve their mental health. I believe that the fate of society lies in the hands of our young people. So, if we want to see a brighter future, we first must nurture those who hold it.
As a Family Therapist and Registered Drama Therapist based in Florida, I am dedicated to providing compassionate care using a holistic and arts-integrated approach. I work with many types of clients. However, the overarching themes I often encounter working with my clients sounds and looks like this. . . My name is Oswaldo “Oz” Castro, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with extensive experience supporting individuals across a wide range of needs and life stages. My passion as a therapist is helping people find hope, healing, and practical tools to move forward.
I began my career in neurofeedback, spending 7 years working with children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD, autism, sleep difficulties, anxiety, depression, and other neurodivergent experiences. I later gained 5 years of experience at a drug rehabilitation facility, supporting individuals on their recovery journey from substance use.
From there, I spent 2 years at a survivor’s center, helping individuals heal from domestic violence, violent crimes, and grief. During this time, I also worked closely with the LGBTQIA+ community, including facilitating groups for individuals of the trans experience.
I also worked for 5 years with children and adolescents transitioning out of a Baker Act and receiving sometimes getting into therapy for the first time, which gave me extensive experience in crisis intervention, family systems, and the importance of providing stability and hope during vulnerable times.

Hello! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) I received my Master’s from Troy University. I have a passion for helping adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma become the best versions of themselves. I have 15 plus years of experience working in the mental health field and I’ve been a licensed therapist for 2 years. have worked with a variety of populations and mental health issues.
I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) woman, a proud veteran, and someone who knows what it’s like to carry invisible weight. I became a mental health counselor because I believe in real conversations, trust built over time, and having a space where you don’t have to hide what you’re feeling.
People who work with me often say they feel like they can finally exhale. I bring calm, compassion, and honesty into the room. I’m not here to judge or tell you how to live your life. I’m here to walk beside you as you figure things out—whether that’s making sense of the past, dealing with hard relationships, or just trying to feel more like yourself again.
I’ve worked with people who didn’t even realize how much they were holding in until they had someone to talk to. I know that reaching out can feel scary or uncomfortable. That’s okay. You don’t need to have everything figured out to start. You don’t need to call what you’re feeling “trauma” or “anxiety” if that doesn’t feel right to you. All you need is the sense that something needs to shift—and the willingness to take that first step.
Outside of work, I’m grounded by my own healing practices, community, and culture. I value humor, kindness, and realness. You don’t have to show up as anyone but yourself.
If you’re reading this and wondering if things could be different—you’re not alone. And you don’t have to go through it alone.

Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Florida. I received my Master's from Saint Leo University and have been in private practice since 2023. Prior to this I have worked in the mental health field for the last 6 years. I help clients of all ages, however work mostly with adolescent and young adults especially within the LGBTQ+ community.
Peace. Happiness. Love. Success. We seek them. We want them. As we see them within reach, we are knocked down by the challenges and difficulties of life. We find, instead, lives that are filled with anxiety, sadness, grief, trauma, loss and failure. I know this too well. I have experienced this in my own life and in the life of my clients. It does not matter where you are in your life. I have had celebrity clients at the top of their field. I have worked with gold medal athletes. I have worked with businessmen and women, housewives, families, adolescents. I have also worked with those who have lost everything to the ravishes of substance use and with men serving life in prison.
It is possible to navigate the dangerous waters of life, but you will need a guide. I am that guide. I have excellent education from Palm Beach Atlantic University. I have a wealth of experience. I have over three decades of experience as a husband, father, grandfather, youth pastor, counselor and university professor. I have worked in the church, private practice (in Florida and the Bahamas), community mental health (specializing in crisis and families with at-risk-adolescents), foster care, substance abuse, juvenile justice and the prisons. I have maintained my relevance by teaching at the university level, advising a best-selling author on the psychological aspects of his book, and serving as a consultant to other mental health agencies. I have wonderful experience working with anxiety, depression, anger, parenting issues, challenging children and teenagers, grief, trauma, substance use issues, family and relationship issues, LGBT issues, and other issues and concerns. I have helped my clients find peace with themselves, with others and in their situations. I have helped my clients find happiness, even amid loss. I have helped my clients find belonging and love in healthy and supportive relationships. I have helped my clients increase their ability to succeed by changing their thinking.
One of the foundations of my life and my work was written by M. Scott Peck in The Road Less Travelled. He wrote, “Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths… Life is a series of problems. Do we want to moan about them or solve them? Do we want to teach our children to solve them?” Let’s start today to solve some of life’s problems and to begin to grasp peace, happiness, love and success.

My name is Katerin Chavez and I specialize in working with clients who have faced different traumas in their lives. I believe in working with the client and that the client can heal in a safe and caring space. I am person centered and will meet the client where they are at. I love solution focused therapy, there is no point in dwelling on what we cannot change, instead we should focus on what we can change.
