Hi there, I'm Andi. Do you feel like you are thriving or are you just surviving? Are you looking to take the next steps to living a balanced life? Do you feel overwhelmed and you're possibly struggling with relationships, work, or your health? Is it time for change but you just don't know where to begin? Feel safe in starting here. Together, we can work to manage stress, anxiety, and/or depressive symptoms. You can have successes in your relationships and in your personal journey to living a happy and well balanced life. I have extensive training and background in family work and trauma counseling that I bring to the table to provide a safe and judgement-free zone. In our sessions, I will meet you with a healthy sense of humor, compassion, and perseverance to find the strategies that will help you take the next steps on your path to thriving. Contact me today and we starting the process in placing those stepping stones of tomorrow.
In the first session, we'll start with gathering basic information and history. You'll be able to share what you're seeking therapy for and ask any questions for me. This will be our chance to get to know one another and tailor future therapy to be specific for you.
My focus is on resilience. This isn't just bouncing back from personal challenges and traumas in life, but also bouncing back as a family and/or couple. I utilize a strength-based and trauma informed approach while finding those protective factors that help you build resilience to tackle life head on. We all have baggage as we collect experiences. My style is reality-based with intentions to help stay future-focused while reorganizing the messy luggage we will always carry around.
My practice is SFBT influenced with goal-oriented focus and practical view of achievable steps toward goals.
After 3 years of extensive supervision under the Strategic Therapy model, I continued to work with families within the Structural Family Therapy umbrella. I have over 15 years working with families.
All of my career has been focused on working with trauma and recovery. I have extensive training in several modalities including ACT, TF-CBT, and some neuropsychology and trauma work.
My practice is heavily influenced by CBT core values with influence of mindset, working through unhelpful core beliefs, and challenging patterns of thinking that get in the way of growth and overall happiness.
After 15+ years of experience and on-going training in evidence-based practices, I have many tools in my tool box. Together, we will find strategies that will help including grounding techniques, reworking thoughts that are unhelpful, and working to build in personal strengths to bounce back when life knocks you down.
