My name is Sarah Harris, Licensed Clinical Social Work and I began my journey in this field since 2017. As a Therapist, I am a systemic thinker by meeting my clients where they're at. It causes more frustration and stress by creating assumptions and judgment so I approach my clients with the mindset of: Life is a journey, but no one path fits us all. Let me hear about the season of life you're in in this moment. I use various therapies and techniques such as Narrative therapy, Solution focused brief therapy, Motivational interviewing, and Mindfulness techniques to help my clients.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session's primary focus is for me to build rapport and understanding of where you are at this moment in your life. Therapy should be a space of non-judgment, where you can let loose and speak your truth.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My strength is my versatile experience in this field and my passion. Being a therapist, is not a job or a chore but a genuine passion to listen and help others heal and learn skills to gain independence and strength. I've been in this field since 2017 as a case manager at an agency to gain clinical experience with adolescents in middle school and their parents. I went on to work as Medical Social Worker on the oncology unit which gave me the experience of working with children and adults through the rough waters that live brings us- hospice, illness, life transitions, depression, anxiety, PTSD and grief.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I believe it's most important to meet people where they are at in order to deep dive into what are the current struggles and analyze how these problems have affected their lives. From there, we can explore the positives: strengths, values, self- compassion and tools to a healthy overall wellbeing.
