My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

During CBT, a mental health professional helps you take a close look at your thoughts and emotions. You'll come to understand how your thoughts affect your actions. I have used CBT therapy for the past 13 years. Through CBT, clients learn and unlearn negative thoughts and behaviors and learn to adopt healthier thinking patterns and habits.

By incorporating active listening, unconditional positive regard and authenticity, we can work together to create a supportive environment that encourages the client to explore their feeling and belief leading to self-awareness and personal development.

Psychoeducation

Engaging clients in conversations about mental health concepts and strategies by providing handouts, worksheets and/or articles serving as reference points, diagrams, videos, or illustrations to simplify complex ideas and make information more memorable. Practicing skills, using guided role-playing exercises. Encouraging questions to foster deeper understanding of the client’s experiences. Teaching coping skills, stress management, relaxation to assist clients in managing their symptoms. Linking information to client goals and choices to actively involve the client in treatment.
