Hi. My name is Vikita Bracey, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I’ve been practicing for 17 years. I have worked with various populations and have a diverse background including people with trauma, crisis, depression, anxiety, grief and loss and relationship problems. My primary population are Veterans and adolescents. The goal in treatment is become the best versions of themselves. In counseling we would work together to build a foundation for healthy outcomes and beliefs systems.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Working as a counselor for the past 15 years has allows me to work with various individuals to help them identify the root cause of their challenges. We will also create a plan to assist them have a road map to healing.
I prefer to work with individuals who desire to make the changes necessary to improve their lives. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
During CBT, a mental health professional helps you take a close look at your thoughts and emotions. You'll come to understand how your thoughts affect your actions. I have used CBT therapy for the past 13 years. Through CBT, clients learn and unlearn negative thoughts and behaviors and learn to adopt healthier thinking patterns and habits.
