I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist specializing in experiential therapy, Gestalt approaches, and mindfulness, with a focus on equine-assisted work and play therapy. I believe in creating a safe, natural space where clients of all ages can explore their emotions, connect deeply with themselves, and heal through meaningful experiences. My approach is hands-on, creative, and tailored to each person’s unique journey toward growth and well-being.
In our first session, we will take time to get to know each other and explore what brings you to therapy. I’ll listen to your story and help you set goals that feel meaningful to you. Together, we’ll discuss how my approach whether through experiential work, mindfulness, or approach that best support your healing journey. You can expect a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where your comfort and trust come first.
What makes my approach unique is the way I blend experiential therapy, Gestalt principles, and creative, nature-based methods—often with the presence of animals and movement in the outdoors. I connect deeply with clients by speaking their “emotional language”. I believe that many emotions are held in the body and collected unconsciously over time. In our sessions, I help clients gently recognize these stored emotions, bring them to the surface, and begin to heal them in the present moment. My hands-on, grounded approach allows for deep emotional work that goes beyond words, supporting real, embodied healing.
I am best positioned to support clients who are seeking a gentle, experiential approach to therapy—whether they are children, teens, or adults. I work especially well with those facing challenges related to trauma, anxiety, difficulties with social interaction and those looking to deepen self-awareness through mindfulness and connection with nature. My therapy is ideal for clients who value hands-on, creative methods and want to explore healing in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.
In my practice, I use experiential therapy based on Gestalt principles and equine sessions. This approach emphasizes presence, self-awareness, and authentic connection — not only with the horse, but also with oneself and the natural world. Horses respond to our emotions and body language in the moment, which can gently reveal patterns, feelings, or blocks that may not always surface in the office settings. Sessions take place outdoors and are active, creative, and hands-on. Clients might walk in the woods, interact with horses, create art, or simply be present in silence. This setting allows for spontaneous discovery and supports clients in exploring who they are — not just through words, but through direct experience. This method is especially meaningful for children and teens, but also deeply powerful for adults seeking a more grounded, embodied path to growth and healing.
I also integrate mindfulness-based therapy into my work — inviting clients to slow down, notice their thoughts and emotions with compassion, and reconnect with the present moment. This approach supports emotional regulation, reduces anxiety, and helps build awareness of patterns without judgment. Mindfulness in my sessions isn’t just about meditation — it’s about being present in movement, in art-making, in connecting with animals or nature. Whether we’re walking outdoors or sitting in quiet reflection, I guide clients to explore what arises within them with gentleness and curiosity. This calm, grounded presence allows for deeper insight and healing, especially for those who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in the past or future.
I use play therapy techniques to help children express emotions, build confidence, and process experiences in a natural, age-appropriate way. For children who have experienced trauma or struggle with social interaction, play becomes a bridge — I meet them where they are and speak their language. This approach helps children access the deeper roots of their pain and begin to heal through connection with themselves. In play, they find safety, voice, and the freedom to grow — often without needing words.
I practice Gestalt therapy in a natural setting, using the here and now as a powerful tool. This approach brings past experiences into the present moment, allowing clients to access and heal deeper emotions through awareness of their body and surroundings. The natural environment supports authentic self-discovery and helps transform emotional blocks during the session through direct experience.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, behavioral challenges, and more — helping them build skills to manage emotions, thoughts, and behaviors for lasting positive change.
