Hi, I’m Guyna Dacius, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work with teens and adults dealing with stress, anxiety, and the impact of past experiences that continue to shape their day-to-day lives. Many of the individuals I support are high achievers who carry a great deal internally while appearing steady and capable on the outside. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and reflective. I help clients understand the patterns underlying their emotions and responses and explore how these patterns developed over time. In our work together, you can expect a grounded, thoughtful environment focused on insight, clarity, and meaningful emotional well-being at a pace that feels manageable for you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting a clear picture of what brought you to therapy and what you’d like support with. I’ll ask questions about your history, current concerns, and any patterns you’ve noticed, and you’ll have room to share what feels most relevant to you. We’ll also talk through how I approach therapy and how we might structure our work together. Clients often describe the first session as a chance to pause, be themselves, and not feel the need to hold everything together. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, informed, and in control of your own process as we begin working toward your goal.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my strengths as a therapist is helping clients understand the deeper patterns behind their stress, anxiety, and emotional reactions. I take a trauma-informed and collaborative approach, focusing on how past experiences shape current ways of coping. I’m attentive to the details clients often overlook and help connect those experiences in a way that brings more clarity and insight. I work especially well with individuals who are used to functioning at a high level but tend to keep much of their emotional world to themselves. I support clients in slowing down, noticing what’s happening internally, and building a more grounded and sustainable way of navigating their lives. Clients often share that they appreciate my balanced approach—supportive, observant, and thoughtful.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with teens and adults who tend to carry a lot internally and are ready to look more closely at the patterns that influence how they feel and function. Many of my clients are high achievers or highly responsible individuals who often appear composed on the outside but experience stress, anxiety, or the lingering effects of past experiences beneath the surface. I’m particularly well-suited to support clients who want to understand themselves more deeply, make sense of what’s contributing to their emotional reactions, and build a more balanced way of navigating their daily lives. Whether someone is dealing with ongoing stress, difficulty slowing down, or the impact of earlier experiences that still show up, I help them move toward greater clarity and stability at a pace that feels manageable.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients see the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and actions. In our work together, we’ll explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck and practice skills to shift those patterns in ways that feel more supportive. My goal is to make CBT practical and approachable — something you can use day to day to feel more grounded, manage stress, and create meaningful change in your life.
