New to Grow
Hi, I’m Guyna Dacius, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I help teens and adults navigate challenges like stress, anxiety, life transitions, and past experiences that may feel heavy. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative — I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you can show up as yourself while we work together toward clarity, healing, and growth.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk through what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background, current concerns, and goals, and you’ll have space to share what feels most important to you. We’ll also go over what therapy can look like with me, so you know what to expect moving forward. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and clear about our next steps together.
What stands out about my approach is that I keep therapy practical and tailored to you. I draw from evidence-based methods like CBT while making sure our work feels down-to-earth and usable in your daily life. Clients often share that they leave sessions with new insight and concrete tools they can apply right away, along with the experience of feeling genuinely supported and understood
I’m best positioned to support teens and adults who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by self-doubt, stress, or past experiences. Many of my clients are seeking clarity, healthier coping strategies, or relief from patterns that feel exhausting. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you and find practical steps that help you feel more steady, confident, and in control of your life.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients see the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and actions. In our work together, we’ll explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck and practice skills to shift those patterns in ways that feel more supportive. My goal is to make CBT practical and approachable — something you can use day to day to feel more grounded, manage stress, and create meaningful change in your life.
