About me

I help children, preteens, teens, emerging adults, athletes, and women navigate relationships, stress, anxiety, and life transitions while building confidence, resilience, and clarity. I specialize in supporting clients through the mental and emotional challenges of weight loss, self-harm, trauma, performance pressure, and identity development. For younger clients, I use play therapy to make sessions engaging, expressive, and effective. My approach is practical, compassionate, and tailored to each client, giving you tools to feel more in control, confident, and balanced every day.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is relaxed and low-pressure, giving you space to share what’s on your mind at your own pace. I’m very easy to talk to, so we’ll focus on understanding your goals and challenges without judgment or pressure. Together, we’ll start identifying practical strategies to help you feel more confident, resilient, and in control.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I’m easy to talk to and create a calm, relaxed space where clients feel heard and understood. I specialize in helping emerging adults, teens, preteens, athletes, and women navigate stress, anxiety, life transitions, and personal challenges like trauma, self-harm, or the mental side of weight loss. I use a practical, tailored approach—incorporating tools, strategies, and play therapy when working with younger clients—to help clients build confidence, resilience, and clarity in their daily lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with emerging adults navigating life changes, transitions, and the challenges of college, early career, relationships, or health. I also support children, preteens, teens, athletes, and women managing stress, anxiety, identity development, performance pressure, or other life challenges. My clients are looking for practical tools, increased confidence, and guidance to feel more in control, resilient, and balanced in their daily lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping skills, and create meaningful behavioral change. In my practice, I use CBT in a collaborative and client-centered way—integrating it with mindfulness, solution-focused, and strengths-based approaches to support each client’s unique needs. I often guide clients through examining the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, helping them build insight and practical strategies for managing anxiety, depression, stress, and other life challenges. I also incorporate real-world skill-building exercises, such as journaling, cognitive reframing, and behavioral activation, to encourage progress between sessions. My goal in using CBT is to empower clients to become their own observers and change agents—developing resilience, self-awareness, and lasting emotional wellness.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop greater psychological flexibility and live in alignment with their personal values. My experience with ACT involves guiding clients in building mindfulness skills, increasing self-compassion, and learning to accept difficult thoughts and emotions rather than struggling against them. In my practice, I use ACT to help clients clarify what truly matters to them and take committed action toward meaningful goals, even in the presence of discomfort or uncertainty. I often integrate ACT principles with CBT and other evidence-based approaches to support clients in reducing avoidance patterns, managing anxiety and stress, and cultivating a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment. My goal through ACT is to help clients move from rigid self-judgment or avoidance toward living more authentically, intentionally, and with a greater sense of emotional balance.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I use a culturally sensitive approach that honors each client’s unique background, identity, and lived experience. I strive to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful space where clients feel seen and valued. In my practice, I consider cultural values, traditions, and communication styles when developing treatment goals and interventions. I remain open and curious, encouraging clients to share their perspectives and experiences so that therapy feels relevant, empowering, and collaborative.

Trauma Informed Care

I take a trauma-informed approach in all my sessions, meaning I focus on safety, trust, and empowerment above all. I understand that trauma can show up in many ways—emotionally, physically, and even in relationships—so I move gently and always at your pace. My role is to help you build tools to feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself again.

Supportive

My supportive approach centers on building a strong, trusting relationship where clients feel seen, heard, and validated. I help clients explore challenges, strengthen coping skills, and identify practical steps toward personal growth. Supportive therapy provides a safe and steady space to process emotions, gain perspective, and build confidence in managing life’s daily stressors and transitions.
