Welcome! I'm Lanelle P. Laws, LMFT. For over 15 years, I've had the privilege of helping people overcome challenges related to trauma, incarceration, depression, anxiety, and LGBTQ+ identity. My passion is empowering individuals to build their self-esteem and thrive. I offer an environment that is non-judgmental, comfortable, and encouraging but from a BIPOC approach. I'm a unique therapist because my lived experience gives me relatability that others do not have. I have dedicated my life to breaking generational traumas that have plagued most underserved communities and I aim to bring voices to marginalized populations that have been misrepresented. I always say, "I'm not your average therapist!" I don't say this because I'm better...I say this because my approach has been elevated to attract individuals that have fallen through the cracks due to unhealthy relationships with therapy. I know what it's like to need help and not be able to find it...let me "Change Ur Narrative".

Life stressors are very high for many people these days. If you are seeking emotional support and help with processing your thoughts and feelings, feel free to reach out to me. I will focus on building a connection with you to understand the reasons for your suffering and work together to help you feel better. I am a clinical psychologist with an integrative approach. I focus on the clinical relationship and draw upon existential, emotion-focused and cognitive-behavioral theories. I will help you identify areas of suffering, including maladaptive thought patterns and current life stressors to help you improve your overall well-being. I provide individual therapy only. Sometimes it helps to talk to someone besides your loved ones or friends, someone who will have a more objective and professional look at your situation/problems. These days, many people are said to be more isolated, lonely and anxious due to circumstances beyond their control. I understand and want you to know that you do not have to feel alone.

Over human history, people have mostly lived in close-knit communities. This has eroded with the advances in transportation and technology. Most people have lost much of the social support our forebearers enjoyed. Mental Health Professionals have taken on this role in their respective communities and are an excellent resource for you to realize your strengths and improve your well-being. When your car breaks down you take it to a mechanic. When your tooth hurts you see a dentist. When your mental health can use a “tune-up,” see a Mental Health Professional!

Thank you for considering me as your therapist in your journey to improving your mental health!  Seeking treatment can be an extremely daunting task, especially within a culture where mental health may not be openly discussed.  This leaves individuals struggling alone with distressing mental health symptoms including anxiety, stress, fear, insecurities, isolation, depression, racing thoughts, poor self-image and many others.  With a lack of support or a safe environment to openly share these experiences, it can be extremely difficult and overwhelming to understand how to manage these symptoms in a healthy way.  This can lead to maladaptive coping skills including substance use, overworking, self-harm, suicidal ideations, hypersexuality, and other risky behaviors.  Even maladaptive coping skills are part of the brain's effort to protect us from the discomfort that comes with mental health symptoms. My goal is to assist empower clients to take control and manage these symptoms independently.  I assist clients with gaining insight about their difficulties and how they experience mental health symptoms in their lives.  I provide clients with psychoeducation to achieve this insight and then work toward developing concrete coping skills in an effort to manage the symptoms.  We will work together to identify short term and long term goals that the client hoping to achieve in therapy and I will ensure that we stay on track toward achieving those goals.  Through accomplishing these goals, clients are able to increase their emotional intelligence and resilience as they manage day to day stressors. I am structured in my approach and committed to seeing progress for my clients as they take on the challenge of self-improvement.  My clinical orientation is in trauma work.  I assist clients with understanding their trauma in their life and how it impacts them today.  I emphasize the unique cultural backgrounds of my clients and all the different traits of their identity to assist them with understanding themselves in a more complete way. In person services available for clients near Santa maria, Ca.  Telehealth services are available for clients throughout the state.  Feel free to reach out directly via phone call or text to discuss scheduling details or to ask any other relevant questions! Hello! I'm Gustavo Olvera and I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT), serving clients via telehealth throughout the State of California. My long-time approach to therapy is to meet the client where they are and work with them to identify goals that will help them improve their quality of life. I believe that we all have the potential to succeed in life and the potential to achieve greatness. A healthy mind is key to success, as we often have to make critical decisions daily. I believe we can all achieve our desired goals by increasing and maintaining a positive outlook on our mental health. What attracted me to wanting to become a therapist was my true and honest desire to help others. Seeing how clients benefit from therapy, seeing how clients can truly overcome their mental illness, and seeing how clients can return to normal and healthy day-to-day living is what drives me to continue to do the work that I do. Today I invite you, to allow yourself to start your journey to a better tomorrow; I am inviting you to take a chance. Sadly we can't change what happened yesterday, nor do we know what will happen tomorrow, but we can hope for a better tomorrow by making positive decisions today.

I’ve studied and practiced many methods. I like to be eclectic and work with you with what’s needed to get you back on track and feeling your best. I was a teacher for many years, then went for my masters in social work. Life has many twists and turns. Sometimes we can feel off balance or are suffering from depression or anxiety. We’ve all had our ups and downs and getting back on track and feeling our best is a goal I enjoy helping people achieve the life they want.

Hi, I’m Leila — a trauma-informed therapist who blends evidence-based tools with deep human understanding. If you’re feeling stuck in self-doubt, overthinking, relationship patterns you can’t shake, or a lingering sense that something is off deep inside — you’re not broken. You’re just carrying more than your nervous system was designed to hold alone. And I’d be honored to help you begin releasing it. My approach goes beyond surface-level talk therapy. I integrate EMDR, somatic techniques, inner child work, and attachment-based healing to help you access what traditional coping tools can’t always reach — the root of your pain. Many of my clients struggle with anxious attachment, chronic self-criticism, or feeling like they have to “perform” for love, worth, or belonging. Therapy with me is a space to shed those roles, meet yourself with compassion, and slowly rebuild a life rooted in clarity, confidence, and real inner peace. I welcome humor, spiritual insight, raw honesty, and the full complexity of who you are. Let’s get to work — not to fix you, but to free you.

Chronic pain is a false alarm. "Try putting ice on it. Try putting heat on it. Try sleeping on a giant magnet. Just ignore it." Some things are impossible to ignore. Pain is designed to be unignorable. When your body tells you there's a problem, it makes sure you listen. Pain helps protect our bodies from harm. Pain is like a conversation between body and brain. But as in any conversation, sometimes there are misunderstandings. You want your life back. Pain Reprocessing Therapy can help. I had suffered with chronic pain for many years, until Pain Reprocessing Therapy cured my chronic pain. I am excited to bring this relief to others! In 15 sessions or less, let me offer hope, and a way out. You have been ignored, gaslighted, and drained of your cash over many years of unsuccessful remedies for your pain. Pain Reprocessing Therapy targets learned neural pathways in the brain, and reverses them. If you have a diagnosed or suspected mental health condition, PRT is still effective.
