I have been in the field of mental health for 29 years. My goal as a therapist is to help you achieve ultimate happiness and peace in your life. As human beings we can not go back and change our past but we can find the tools that can help us live our lives fully and find the ways to use our full potential. I will listen to you and will try my best to support you in finding the path to happiness by practicing and using the tools and methods that are helpful and tangible.
At my first session, my clients can ask me any questions regarding my experience. After my introduction, i will do my initial assessment which also includes health questions so that I can rule out physical issues that interfere with mental health. I then take a history of client’s life so that we can determine our goals, short term and long term. At the end I present my treatment plan. I will always listen to my clients and if they have an immediate concern, I will try to find time so that their immediate need is met.
Compassion and empathy. Respect for all human beings. Being able to provide a safe environment for the clients to release their sadness or grief regarding past issues and traumas while helping them start the healing process and being able to achieve their full potential in life.
I work with adult clients, especially women, couples as well as families from any culture and back ground. I also speak Persian and am also specialized in helping couples who have interracial marriages.
Giving the clients CBT tools to use in their daily lives to manage and decrease anxiety and depression and be able to function normally in their lives and be able to use their full potential to acheive the ultimate happiness and peace.
To bring families together by teaching better communication and mutual respect . Setting boundaries while being compassionate towards each other’s needs.
Understanding client’s emotional needs that might be stemming from childhood or other life traumas through compassionate responses to start the healing process.
29 years of experience in couples counseling. Being neutral and listening to both sides . Bringing attention to the needs of each and using cognitive behavioral methods to focus on here and now so that the couple can start a new healthier relationship based on mutual respect to achieve their goals in life personally and together.
