5 years of experience

I'm a mother to young adults and married for over two decades with a professional background and MBA. I understand the complexities of couple hood, family life, parenting, and professional challenges. I specialize in couples therapy & individual therapy for adults. At this time I am taking on new (adult) clients for individual therapy with insurance. I am seeing couples with cash-pay options only.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My goal is to help my clients achieve more satisfying relationships with oneself, children, partner, parents, colleagues, friends, and society. I hope to help clients discover a renewed inner strength, fueled by positive self-talk and a shift in thinking, which translates to a toolbox of practical skills to navigate one’s healing journey and life’s challenges.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I serve as a compassionate guide, seeing clients as the expert of their lives, offering a trusting, relaxed, non-judgmental space for therapy. I join clients where they are at and examine the meaning behind what fuels big emotional reactions and problematic symptoms. If you don't find the session time that works for you on my calendar, please reach out to share your scheduling preferences.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

With a trauma-informed lens, I support PTSD, Anxiety, Grief, Life Transitions, Parenting, and Marital and Relationship Issues. Clients can expect personalized treatment plans that aim to improve overall well-being.

My treatment methods

EMDR

As a trauma-informed therapist and certified mindfulness-informed professional, I am trained in techniques like EMDR and TRIP (Trauma Regulation Integration Process). My first priority is to provide clients opportunities to build up internal personal resourcing skills, using the DNMS model, which supports emotional stabilization for clients with early relational trauma and/or trauma wounding.

Attachment-based

Attachment-based work can support meaning-making in current adult relationships by helping individuals explore how their early attachment experiences influence their emotional patterns and behaviors, fostering deeper understanding and connection.

Positive Psychology

Focused on identification of strengths, gratitude, mindfulness, positive relationships, and goal-setting to enhance well-being and promote flourishing in individuals during therapy.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Focused strategies to target thought patterns and behaviors, which includes learning new skills to recognize and change negative thought patterns, leading to positive behavioral changes.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Focused on identifying solutions and strengths rather than dwelling on problems by helping to envision a brighter future with goal-setting and manageable actionable steps.
