I’m Shauna del Reed, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor. My belief is simple: every part of who we are matters, influencing our health both mentally and physically. The tension in your shoulders, the racing thoughts at night, the unpredictable energy levels, the moments of irritability or foggy focus, and even the digestive discomfort you might dismiss, all have a story to tell. In our work together, we look beneath the surface to understand what your symptoms are pointing to. Stress, trauma, and lifestyle patterns are often woven together, and when we address them in connection with each other, change becomes possible. I bring both clinical expertise and functional nutrition training to help you create a plan that is as practical as it is restorative. I understand that healing is rarely linear, and it is never one size fits all. For this reason, I utilize a whole-person perspective, combined with compassion and curiosity, to support you in creating a life that feels calmer, more connected, and more aligned with the person you know yourself to be.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC II) with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life and the concerns that arise. I specialize in addiction, trauma, and co-occurring mental health challenges. I bring a deep commitment to meeting people where they are in their process. In my practice, I offer a warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. I believe meaningful change happens when we honor each person’s lived experience and work together toward self-identified goals at a pace that feels safe and manageable. I meet clients where they are, whether they are just beginning to explore change or looking to deepen their healing and personal growth. I use an integrated approach. This work often supports relief from emotional distress, greater clarity, and a renewed sense of internal balance. I also incorporate strengths-based and systems-oriented perspectives, recognizing the importance of relationships, environment, and resilience in the healing process. When working with couples, I draw from Gottman-informed approaches and systems theory to help partners strengthen communication, deepen understanding, and shift long-standing relational patterns. I support couples in building empathy, trust, and connection while learning new ways to navigate conflict and repair. I believe every person has an innate capacity for healing. I also assist clients in connecting with resources and referrals when needed, so they feel supported not only in session, but in their day-to-day lives. Working with me often means having a consistent, grounded space to slow down, make sense of what feels overwhelming, and begin moving toward meaningful change. My goal is to support clients in building insight, resilience, and practical tools so they can experience greater clarity, healthier relationships, and a more connected and fulfilling life.

I feel very fortunate to have grown up in the Bay Area, but never truly appreciated it until I left and came back. I attended high school in Marin at the Branson School in Ross. After High School I left for Wheaton College in Massachusetts where I earned a B.A. in Psychology. I moved to Florida where I received my Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida. Prior to earning my Masters in Psychology I spent a number of years working in child and adolescent residential treatment centers in both San Francisco and Orlando, Florida. It was at this time that I fell in love with working with adolescents, adults, and their families. After graduate school, I found myself working for, and soon thereafter managing, an inpatient treatment program for adolescents who had experienced severe trauma. I returned to California for good in 2011 where I started working as the Lead Therapist for the Adolescent Outpatient Program at Fremont Hospital. I opened a part time private practice in 2012 and transitioned to a full time practice in San Francisco in early 2013.

I've been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the past 16 years and love what I do. I approach all my clients with empathy and compassion whatever reason they are seeking therapy. If this is your first time trying therapy, you will soon realize that you are simply having a conversation with a person that knows how to listen and wants to get to know you. I approach my clients with unconditional positive regard, acceptance, and non-judgment. I work to create a safe environment for them to feel confident that I can hold their pain and gently ask questions to find out why they are seeking treatment. I know that I’m not here to be your friend but to provide a service and help you learn the right tools to regulate their emotions, describe in words their inner pain, and keep their hope instilled. Justin Weber is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in anxiety, depression, and relational issues. His approach integrates CBT, EMDR, insight-oriented, and attachment-based strategies to help clients develop self-awareness, emotional regulation, and stronger communication. Known for his calm, direct style, Justin creates a supportive space where clients can identify patterns, set clear goals, and move toward lasting emotional stability. His work focuses on practical, measurable progress that helps individuals and couples build connection, confidence, and balance. As a EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist, I use these evidence-based approaches to support healing from trauma, anxiety, grief, phobias, relationship struggles, and major life transitions. I work with adults navigating the impact of trauma, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and relational wounds.

Life can feel overwhelming at times — whether you’re dealing with anxiety, relationship stress, or a major life transitions. I work with adults who want a supportive space to sort through what’s going on in their lives and learn practical tools to feel more steady and confident. So many of us appear to have "everything together" on the outside but privately struggle with constant overthinking, intrusive and racing thoughts, pressure to be "perfect" , and high-functioning anxiety. My approach blends cognitive behavioral therapy with a person-centered style, meaning we focus on both real-life strategies and creating a space where you feel genuinely seen and heard.
