Life can feel overwhelming when you’re carrying everything alone. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and work through anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, life transitions, and emotional burnout with clarity and care. I help clients reach their goals by creating a collaborative, structured, and supportive therapeutic process that is tailored to their individual needs, strengths, and life experiences. At the beginning of treatment, we work together to identify clear and meaningful goals that reflect what the client hopes to change, improve, or better understand.
Your first session with me is designed to feel welcoming, supportive, and grounded in helping you feel at ease as you begin your therapeutic journey. The purpose of this initial appointment is not to overwhelm you or address everything at once, but to begin building a foundation of understanding, trust, and collaboration.
My communication style is open, compassionate, nonjudgmental, and trauma-informed. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves honestly without fear of criticism or judgment. My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Managing and Adaptive Practices (MAP), mindfulness, play therapy, and trauma-informed interventions to support healing and personal growth.
My ideal clients are children, adolescents, and adults who are working through stressful changes, transitions, or challenges in their lives. They may be experiencing stress related to school, work, relationships, family changes, friendships, identity, or major life transitions. For children and adolescents, this may include adjusting to a new school, academic pressure, difficulty making or maintaining friendships, bullying, changes at home, family separation or divorce, emotional regulation, self-esteem, or navigating the challenges of growing up. For adults, they may be experiencing career or job stress, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, family conflict, major life transitions, changes in identity, feeling overwhelmed, or difficulty balancing personal and professional responsibilities. My ideal clients may feel overwhelmed, anxious, frustrated, stuck, or unsure of how to cope with what they are experiencing. They may be looking for a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where they can process their emotions, better understand themselves, develop healthy coping skills, and work toward meaningful change. I want to work with clients who are open to self-exploration and growth and who want therapy to be a collaborative process. My goal is to meet clients where they are, help them navigate stressful periods of life, and support them in building confidence, resilience, and healthier ways of coping with challenges.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help children and adults better understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we identify patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, frustration, or other challenges and explore healthier ways of responding. In therapy, I work collaboratively with clients to develop practical tools they can use in their everyday lives. This may include learning how to manage difficult emotions, challenge unhelpful thoughts, improve problem-solving skills, build confidence, and develop healthier habits and coping strategies. I tailor CBT to each client’s age, needs, and goals. With children and adolescents, I may use age-appropriate activities and examples to make therapy engaging and easier to understand. With adults, I focus on helping them apply these skills to situations they are currently facing at home, at work, or in their relationships. My goal is for clients to leave therapy with a better understanding of themselves and practical skills they can continue using outside of therapy.
I use play therapy to help children express and work through emotions, experiences, and challenges in a way that feels natural and comfortable for them. Since children may not always have the words to explain what they are feeling, play can provide a safe way for them to communicate and make sense of their experiences. During sessions, I create a supportive and welcoming environment where children can explore their feelings through activities such as toys, games, art, storytelling, and creative play. Through play, children can build confidence, learn how to manage difficult emotions, practice problem-solving, and develop healthier ways of communicating and interacting with others. I tailor play therapy to each child’s age, personality, needs, and goals. My goal is to meet children where they are, help them feel understood and supported, and give them tools they can use both in therapy and in their everyday lives.
I use a strength-based approach to help children and adults recognize their strengths, abilities, and personal resources while working through life’s challenges. Rather than focusing only on problems, I help clients identify what is already working for them and build on those strengths. In therapy, I create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard, understood, and encouraged. Together, we explore their goals, identify the qualities and skills that have helped them through difficult situations, and find ways to use those strengths when facing new challenges. With children and adolescents, I help them recognize their unique abilities, build confidence, and develop a stronger sense of self. With adults, I help them identify their resilience, values, and existing coping skills while navigating stressful changes, relationships, work, family, and other life challenges. My goal is to help clients see that they have strengths they can draw on, even during difficult times, and to support them in building confidence and creating meaningful, positive change.
