About me

Hi there, I'm really glad you're here. Looking for a therapist can feel overwhelming- but when you find someone who truly gets you, it can make all the difference. My hope is to be that person for you. I'm a first generation Mexican-American therapist, and while most of my sessions are in English, I also speak Spanish and enjoy working with bilingual and bicultural clients. I know how important it is to feel seen and understood, especially when navigating different parts of your identity and life experiences.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

A first session with me, will be used for us to get to know each other. We use this time to get to know your past, current situation, and your current goals. First sessions can bring some anxiety, but I strive to build trust and a welcoming environment.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Most of all, I aim to create a space that feels warm, honest, and supportive- where you can explore things that might feel uncomfortable, without judgement. Together, we'll work toward healing, self-understanding, and growth at a pace that feels right for you. If you're ready to take that first step, I'd love to connect.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adults who are facing anxiety, depression, major life changes, grief, substance use, or women's issues. My approach is flexible and collaborative- no one-size-fits-all therapy here. I draw from ACT, DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Client-Centered approaches to meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use this modality to meet where the client is at and encouraging change. This is a modality where we don't judge our current situation but use our goals/values to motivate us to the future we want to see.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use this modality for clients to get a deeper understanding of their schemas and relationship between thoughts, behaviors, and emotions.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

This is a great modality for emotion regulation and stabilize oneself in order to discuss deeper emotions. There are worksheets and homework assignments that are helpful.

Motivational Interviewing

I use this to help clients go towards the change they want to see. Change is difficult and there are stages to get to the action part of change. This modality helps client gain more insight of what is the change they truly want and not what they think they should want.
