In our first session, my goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard and supported. We’ll start by getting to know each other and exploring what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask some questions about your current concerns, personal history, and what you hope to get out of our work together. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once, we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. This session is also a chance for you to ask questions about the therapy process and make sure it feels like a good fit. Together, we’ll begin to identify your goals and start laying the groundwork for meaningful progress. Above all, I want you to feel seen, respected, and understood from the very beginning.
As a therapist, I have honed several strengths that I believe greatly contribute to the positive outcomes of my clients' journeys. My empathetic nature allows me to deeply connect with individuals and create a safe and nonjudgmental space where they can express themselves freely. This empathy forms the foundation of trust, essential for fostering a strong therapeutic alliance. Whether you're seeking relief from anxiety, seeking guidance in relationships, or striving for personal empowerment, my goal is to empower you to overcome obstacles, cultivate resilience, and create a fulfilling and meaningful life. I am committed to supporting you every step of the way on your journey towards healing and growth.
I work best with individuals who are ready to explore meaningful change, even if they’re not quite sure where to begin. My ideal clients often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or burnt out whether due to anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or work-related stress. Many have spent years caring for others while putting their own needs last, and now they’re ready to reclaim space for themselves. I especially enjoy working with those who are reflective, curious, and open to self-growth, even if they're feeling unsure or vulnerable. You don’t need to have it all figured out just a willingness to engage in the process. Some clients come in looking to build confidence, heal from past wounds, learn healthier boundaries, or improve how they manage emotions. Others are seeking support through a major life change or want to understand how their early experiences continue to affect them today. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I meet clients where they are and help guide them toward clarity, empowerment, and lasting change.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the core approaches I use in my work with clients. I have extensive experience using CBT to help individuals better understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This method is especially effective for concerns like anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and stress. In practice, I use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress or keeping them stuck. Together, we work to challenge and reframe those thoughts, while also building healthier coping strategies and behaviors. I often integrate practical tools like thought records, behavioral experiments, and goal setting to support real-life change. CBT is structured, collaborative, and focused on helping you feel more empowered in how you respond to challenges. While I bring in other approaches as needed, CBT often serves as a strong foundation for building insight and lasting progress.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a central part of my clinical approach, especially when working with clients who struggle with emotional regulation, relationship challenges, anxiety, or impulsive behaviors. I have received training in DBT and have facilitated both individual and group DBT sessions, helping clients build skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. In my practice, I use DBT to help clients better understand and manage intense emotions without judgment. I integrate practical tools and skills that can be applied in everyday life, whether it’s learning how to cope with a triggering situation, set healthier boundaries, or respond to emotional pain in a more balanced way. While sessions are grounded in validation and empathy, we also work toward change through concrete, skills-based strategies. DBT offers a structured yet flexible path to healing, and I tailor the approach to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. Whether you're just beginning to explore DBT or looking to deepen your skills, I’m here to support you through the process with warmth and guidance.
