"There can be no transforming of darkness into light ... without emotion." -Jung Emotional Intelligence (EI) is the core of my training. It embraces the belief systems of the past that affect your present. It's a state-of-mind that defines thinking that affects emotional awareness. To become aware is not to change, but to understand and accept. Carrying guilt or shame of the past, triggers the conflict of now. I don't offer advice - I offer choices - a chance to choose your own method of healing that fits you - not something others feel 'should' be. Come. Sit. Talk. Let's wander your path together. Licensed in Ohio, South Carolina, Washington DC, Arizona, Virginia, and Florida

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Working together, we will begin to identify the irrational beliefs that have harbored the negative emotions of your past to begin to change the 'habits' that your brain has formed over the years in dealing with your environment - determining where your source of 'power' is to change - learning techniques and skills to better cope with the changes in life and processing difficult conflicts of past and present.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been practicing about 24 years in my own private practice. My doctorate is in Clinical Psychology with a focus on trauma and neuropsych. I use a theory called Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) which focuses on changing your 'stinking thinking' – you see, I believe that if I can change the way you think, ultimately, I will change the way you behave / feel.

Integrative

I use an integrated approach depending on the type of patient I work with - not every theory fits everyone perfectly; so the ability to shift to different perspectives allow a holistic approach to healing.
