Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Arizona. I received my Masters Degree from Ottawa University and have been practicing for 12 years. I help people overcome and manage anxiety and depression. I provide CBT tools that help positively impact people's lives. I also use current research in neuroscience to help people understand their mental experience and hopefully gain more literacy into what they are experiencing to empower change.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Your first session with me will be different from future visits. The initial visit is a period for you and me to get to know each other and get an idea of how to proceed. A thorough assessment will be completed as well as a discussion on your preliminary goals. Future visits will be more therapeutic. For example, in your second session, you may explore a specific symptom, problem, or past trauma you mentioned in the first session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I think my greatest strength is my experience. I have discipline in understanding clients’ needs. I have always tried to become better at understanding people by active listening and therapeutic attending behavior. I have a good understanding of diverse client Populations. I have worked with a diverse population and counseled people with a wide range of diagnoses. Also, many people I have worked with have dual diagnoses and struggle with not only mental illness but substance use issues. I think my passion for helping others also helps me be a compassionate and caring listener.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with adults who need tools for managing and overcoming various mental struggles to improve their lives and find their strength.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT aims to help people identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and learn practical self-help strategies. During CBT, a therapist will encourage people to talk about their thoughts, feelings, and what's troubling them. I use CBT to I identify and examine thoughts and behaviors and how they can be improved to improve emotional wellbeing.
