Sometimes life changes in an instant- an injury, diagnosis, or loss can turn everything upside down. Surviving something like this is about learning how to live in the middle of it, finding hope and resilience where you can, and knowing that your story, your pain, and your inner strength matter. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and offer telehealth in Colorado and Arizona. I am passionate about supporting individuals and family caregivers navigating medical trauma and major life events that can result in grief, adjustment challenges, anxiety and depression. My approach emphasizes creating a safe and compassionate space where you can feel seen and understood. Together we'll aim to explore practical and adaptive skills to help you reconnect with your strengths and begin to find steadier ground. Whatever you're carrying, you do not need to carry it alone.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is a chance for you to set down what you've been carrying at a pace that feels comfortable. We'll take time to explore what brought you here, what you've been navigating, and what you hope will feel different. You'll get a sense of my warm, steady, participatory, and collaborative style and together we'll begin to shape a plan focused on helping you feel better and learning to carry what you're carrying with more ease. Most people leave the first session feeling a bit more understood and less alone. And also leave with a clearer understanding of what therapy will look like, what we'll focus on, and 1 or 2 initial strategies or areas of insight to help you start feeling more supported right away.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a family caregiver myself I have a unique personal and professional understanding of what it is like navigating the unfamiliar emotional terrain that comes with life altering events. My clients often describe me as genuine, gentle, compassionate and open-minded. That they appreciate that I'm warm and understanding, but also able to offer perspective and gentle challenge when it supports their growth. I draw from grief and trauma informed care practices blended with approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, somatic strategies to help my clients better understand their experience and develop tools to help manage symptoms, cope more effectively, and find steadier ground.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults who are navigating the emotional, relational, and practical challenges that come with life-changing injuries, illnesses, and major transitions. Many of my clients are family caregivers or loved ones supporting someone through significant injury (such as spinal cord injury) or sudden health event. Others are individuals adjusting to their own new health realities learning to rebuild identity , routines, and a sense of self after everything has shifted. My clients are often experiencing exhaustion, uncertainty, overwhelm, and feeling disconnected from the person that they were before everything changed. Some are managing grief that others don't fully recognize, or carrying responsibilities that feel invisible to the outside world. Therapy becomes a place where my clients can pause, make sense of their emotional landscape, and receive support around things that cannot be changed.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Through CBT, I help clients understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence each other and develop practical strategies for coping with intense emotions and difficult life transitions.

Trauma Informed Care

Through trauma-informed care, I help individuals facing life changing events to have a safe, respectful, and empowering space that takes into account the effects of past experiences and major life events.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT as a gentle and practical approach that helps you make space for difficult emotions and reconnect with what matters most. Together we focus on coping skills and values-guided steps that support resilience and steadiness during challenging transitions.
