I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (License No. SW22578) with a Masters Degree in Social Work from Florida State University and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida. I am also a wife, a mom, a business owner, and a musician. I have been interested in the inner-workings of the mind for as long as I can remember but was solidified in my career path after experiencing the significant positive impact of therapy in my own life at a young age. I have now worked as a therapist in private practice for over 4 years. Using therapeutic intervention to help my clients gain a sense of stability, confidence, and empowerment in their lives while also strengthening their relationships is my passion. I enjoy helping my clients overcome obstacles, tap into their own strength & resilience, and create the lives that they dream of. I am passionate about education and staying up-to-date on the latest and best treatment methods to help my clients. I am committed to providing the most effective and innovative techniques as part of their therapy experience. Pain is a part of life, but constant suffering doesn’t have to be. Together we can work on relieving your painful emotions, thoughts, and conflicts - and helping you experience a sense of wholeness, stability, and life-giving connection - within yourself and within your relationships. We can work together to help you identify and engage in the values that are most important to you. Feeling understood is a crucial part of your healing process. That is why we guarantee that at our practice you will find empathetic and supportive care - so that you can feel grounded in times of crisis and encounter a deep sense of self-acceptance.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first appointment we will begin building the therapeutic relationship and go over your concerns and various aspects of your life in more detail. The information gathered during this appointment will help me create a treatment plan that is tailored to your unique needs. Your treatment plan will contain specific goals and objectives which will be used to inform our work together and to measure your treatment progress over time.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am empathetic and compassionate. I can provide a safe and non-judgmental space. I am also passionate about using an integrative approach to meet my clients' unique needs and about keeping up with current research and using new innovative evidence-based techniques.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

I use faith-based counseling by incorporating spiritual resources, bible teachings and scripture, and faith traditions into therapy while employing established clinical techniques.

EMDR

I am certified in another evidence-based practice that is very similar to EMDR - known as “accelerated resolution therapy” - or “ART” - using bilateral eye movements to reduce the negative impact of distressing memories on clients’ mental health as well as the negative impact of chronic symptoms.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have used DBT with my clients for over four years - after a series of specialized trainings and find it especially helpful for clients’ with severe emotional dysregulation. DBT is very skills-based and teaches clients a variety of applicable tools to regulate their emotions and behaviors and promote more feelings of inner and outer stability.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT with the majority of my clients and find it an effective tool or addressing dysfunctional thoughts, emotions, or behavioral patterns.
