I am a licensed mental health counselor with over 4 years of experience specializing in grief, trauma, and emotional regulation. As a first-generation immigrant, Queer Latina Canadian, I am dedicated to supporting and advocating for my community. I have extensive experience working with youth, the Latinx community, and LGBTQ+ individuals in both English and Spanish. My commitment to helping others, particularly in crisis situations, is driven by a deep-seated passion for service and empathy.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we'll focus on getting to know each other and developing a plan tailored to your healing journey. My aim is to create a supportive and safe environment where you can explore your feelings and make meaningful progress.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As an immigrant who has navigated the challenges of adapting to a new language and culture, I draw on my personal experiences to support others through their own transitions. I aim to offer guidance and comfort to those facing difficulties and barriers.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

Using trauma-sensitive techniques, I help clients work through their past and present difficulties, empowering them to overcome the effects of trauma.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I listen carefully and without judgment, creating a safe space for you to share your deepest thoughts and feelings. I am here to guide you, but you are in control.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Instead of dwelling on problems, I help you focus on your strengths and what’s already working in your life. Together, you set goals and work step-by-step to achieve them, creating a clear and hopeful path forward.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Utilizing a structured treatment for PTSD, I will help you identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts related to your trauma. By reframing these thoughts, you can reduce trauma-related symptoms and develop healthier coping mechanisms.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I aim to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel understood and respected.
