I was born and raised in Florida, am a first generation American, and graduated with my bachelor's and master's from Florida State University. As a licensed clinical social worker, I have extensive experience working with anxiety, trauma, and relational issues. I also have much experience working with several other concerns such as, Depression, OCD, Eating disorders and disordered eating patterns.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

First session consists of a "bio-psycho-social" assessment which sheds light on the history of these different areas in your life to paint a good picture of all that has brought you to therapy. Sometimes, discussing these details of your history can become heavy to explore. Therefore, more time can be allocated to spend on these in later sessions if wished to. When using Grow's calendar to schedule, you will receive a message confirming your appointment.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I would say that my greatest strengths are that I am open minded and trained/ informed in several evidenced-based treatment approaches. Also, if appropriate and once trust and rapport is secured, I am willing to gently challenge thinking patterns and offer alternative perspectives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have worked with a variety of populations for many different issues. However, an ideal client would be one that is eager to engage and ready to prioritize time and space for therapy in their lives. Also, one that is willing to step into discomfort with a helping hand of course once trust is secured.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I can utilize a CBT focus in which the connection of thought, feeling, and behavior patterns can influence how we respond to situations and stressors.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I can take a DBT focus where I emphasize the four core principles of mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness (social skills).

Trauma Informed Care

If relevant and appropriate, I take a trauma-informed lens to take into consideration impacts from past traumatic or negative events and how these can inform our well-being and functioning.
