I’m a bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor serving adults in Florida and Massachusetts through a holistic, trauma-informed lens. I specialize in helping clients manage chronic stress, anxiety, and mind-body symptoms such as pain or fatigue. My approach integrates neuroscience, CBT, and Pain Reprocessing Therapy to support emotional healing, nervous system regulation, and a deeper sense of connection to self and body.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and exploring what brings you to therapy, what’s been feeling challenging, and what you’re hoping to gain from our work together. I’ll ask gentle, thoughtful questions to better understand your story, and we’ll begin identifying goals and a supportive direction that feels aligned with your needs, values, and comfort level. This initial appointment is also a space for us to see whether my approach feels like a good fit for you. If at any point I believe additional resources or referrals may better support you, we’ll talk through those options together so you feel informed, supported, and clear about next steps.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths lie in creating a warm, validating space where clients feel seen and supported, especially when navigating complex emotions or mind-body symptoms. I blend neuroscience, somatic work, and evidence-based methods like CBT and PRT to help clients gain insight, regulate their nervous system, and experience lasting, meaningful change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are adults who feel overwhelmed by chronic stress, anxiety, or physical symptoms like tension or fatigue. Many have spent years pushing through discomfort and are ready to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and heal from the inside out. They're open to exploring both mind and body to create lasting change.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support adults in processing traumatic experiences while building skills for emotional regulation, cognitive reframing, and resilience. My approach includes psychoeducation about trauma and the nervous system, relaxation strategies, and gradual trauma narrative work, all tailored to the client’s pace and readiness. I help clients identify and challenge trauma-related beliefs that may impact their sense of safety, self-worth, or trust. TF-CBT provides a structured yet flexible framework to reduce distress and foster long-term healing through both insight and action.
Psychoeducation
Psychoeducation is a core component of my therapeutic approach. I use it to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and physiological responses. Whether we are exploring the impact of trauma on the nervous system, the cycle of anxiety, or the brain’s role in chronic pain, I find that providing clear, relatable information empowers clients to feel more in control of their experiences. I often incorporate visuals, metaphors, and client-centered discussions to ensure concepts are accessible and meaningful. Psychoeducation also lays the groundwork for other interventions, fostering insight, motivation, and a strong therapeutic alliance.
Mind-body approach
I integrate a mind-body approach to help clients reconnect with their internal experiences and understand how emotional and physical symptoms are often intertwined. Drawing from neuroscience, somatic psychology, and Pain Reprocessing Therapy, I guide clients in building awareness of bodily sensations, regulating the nervous system, and cultivating safety from within. This may include breathwork, grounding techniques, somatic tracking, or mindfulness-based practices. I find this approach especially effective for clients navigating chronic stress, pain, or trauma, as it supports healing not just through insight, but through embodied change.
Narrative
I use Narrative Therapy to help clients explore the stories they carry about themselves, their identities, and their challenges. This approach allows clients to externalize problems, uncover the influence of societal and cultural narratives, and reclaim agency in how they define their lives. In session, I support clients in identifying dominant narratives that may be rooted in shame, trauma, or limiting beliefs, and work collaboratively to co-author new narratives that reflect resilience, strength, and possibility. Narrative practices are especially powerful for clients navigating life transitions, cultural identity, or long-held internalized messages.
Trauma Informed Care
Trauma-informed care is a foundational principle in my practice. I create a therapeutic environment rooted in safety, trust, collaboration, and empowerment, recognizing the widespread impact of trauma on emotional and physical well-being. My approach is guided by an understanding of how trauma can shape nervous system responses, relationships, and core beliefs. I integrate evidence-based modalities such as CBT, somatic awareness, and psychoeducation to support clients in building regulation, self-compassion, and a sense of agency. I also remain attuned to cultural, historical, and systemic factors that may influence each client’s healing journey.
