My name is Jennifer Sawyer, and I have been in the counseling field for a very long time. I began working in addiction counseling in 2001. I received my license in Chemical Dependency counseling in 2007. I began my Master's degree in 2018 and graduated in 2021. I became a LPC-A in 2022 and fully licensed July of 2024. I have six kids and 12 grandkids. Christian Counseling is an effective form of counseling, and I have utilized in continuously in my counseling journey when suitable and appropriate. I can truly say that I began working in the counseling field as a result of trials and tribulations that I have faced in my life. I also believe that it has assisted me in growing into the counselor I am today. I look forward to working with adolescents as well as adults. I also believe that healing can begin when we become willing to allow ourselves to open up and believe that it can happen. I hope to partner with you on your journey of healing and hope!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session together, we will start with introduction on both parties and begin to build rapport. Building rapport will allow us a seamless dive into the specific challenges that you are facing. This will help me along with your input to create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a clinician I feel that one of my greatest strengths is my ability to listen to what you believe your issues are. I have great listening skills but I have also been in counseling for a long time. By doing so, I have gained many skills.
