(she/her)
Hi! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas. I received my Master's from Walden University and have been practicing for four years. I am currently a Doctoral Candidate at Walden University in the PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision program. I assist individuals with reducing trauma-related symptoms with Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing treatment. I specifically treat both single-event and complex trauma.
In our first session together, we’ll start with brief introductions, then discuss the specific challenges that are bringing them into treatment. I will ask questions from all areas of life to gain a better understanding of how I can collaborate with you on your healing journey. This will help me tailor a plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
My greatest strength as a provider is that I always tailor treatment based on the consumer's strengths and discover attributes that promote autonomy holistically. I tailor evidence-based care to fit the consumer's cultural needs. Furthermore, I have a particular interest in addressing complex trauma and am open to working with underserved populations, recognizing the unique and sensitive nature of these concerns. I am dedicated to offering compassionate and effective services to individuals within this population. Additionally, I am an AutPlay-trained and certified therapist, demonstrating my proficiency in working with individuals who benefit from integrating this therapeutic approach.
I love working with adolescents and young adults who are seeking treatment for trauma and want to have a holistic healing process. My clients are eager to heal but have not been able to do so because of not having access to resources or acknowledge that healing is what they needed. They often have been in environments that are not the best at encouraging the healing process.
