I’m a licensed therapist dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate space where clients can feel seen, heard, and supported. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection and self-discovery. I draw from evidence-based practices like EMDR, IFS, mindfulness, and CBT to help my clients navigate life’s challenges and reconnect with their strengths.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first sessions, my focus is on building a safe, supportive space where you can feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and any concerns or questions you might have. I’ll also ask a few background questions to help me understand your history, strengths, and challenges, and we’ll begin to outline some initial goals together. In our first sessions togther, I want to hear you. Like, literally I want you, your thoughts, your values, your beliefs, your triggers, your problems, your strengths, what bothers you, what makes you happy? I will make a mind map of your strengths and areas to work on, and we will decide on the treatment plan togther.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the balance I strike between evidence-based methods and deep attunement to each client’s lived experience. I integrate modalities such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness-based therapy, and CBT in a way that is flexible, culturally sensitive, and grounded in the therapeutic relationship. Clients often share that they feel deeply seen, safe, and respected in our work together. I prioritize building trust and tailoring interventions to fit the client’s emotional readiness, background, and personal goals. Whether addressing trauma, anxiety, self-esteem, or life transitions, I work to uncover the root of the issue—not just manage symptoms and empower clients to develop lasting insight and self-leadership. A key strength of my method is my ability to guide clients into deeper emotional work such as core belief shifts or somatic integration while also equipping them with practical tools they can use between sessions. I regularly hear from clients that they experience meaningful shifts in how they relate to themselves and others, often reporting greater emotional regulation, self-compassion, and clarity in their lives. What sets my approach apart is a commitment to compassionate presence, clinical depth, and adaptive strategy helping each client move from survival to truly living their life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to support individuals who are seeking deeper understanding of themselves and are ready to explore the patterns that hold them back. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, identity concerns, or life transitions. They may feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or disconnected from their sense of purpose and they’re looking for a space to be truly heard and understood. My ideal clients are often introspective, curious, and open to personal growth, even if they’re unsure where to begin. Whether you’re managing everyday stress or working through past wounds, I help clients build self-compassion, emotional regulation, and meaningful change. I especially enjoy working with those who want to explore how their past impacts their present and are motivated to develop healthier relationships with themselves and others.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I am certified in EMDR therapy and use it as an evidence-based approach to help clients process and resolve distressing memories, negative core beliefs, and trauma-related symptoms. My experience includes working with individuals experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, and low self-worth. EMDR has proven to be a powerful tool in helping clients access and reprocess unresolved trauma that continue to affect their current functioning.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I am Level 1 trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and incorporate it as a central modality in my therapeutic work with individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, and identity-related concerns. IFS offers a non-pathologizing, deeply respectful framework that helps clients understand and heal from within by connecting to their internal system of "parts" and their core Self.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive training and experience in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a structured, evidence-based approach that helps clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. I use CBT with a wide range of clinical concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, and low self-esteem.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

In my practice, I strive to create a therapeutic space that is inclusive, respectful, and responsive to each client’s cultural context. I recognize that culture defined broadly to include race, ethnicity, religion, language, gender identity, sexual orientation, immigration status, socioeconomic background, and more profoundly shapes how individuals experience distress, express emotions, and seek support.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-Based Therapy is a client-centered approach that integrates mindfulness principles such as present-moment awareness, nonjudgmental acceptance, and self-compassion into the therapeutic process. I use mindfulness-based techniques both as stand-alone interventions and in combination with other modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and EMDR. In my practice, I help clients develop the ability to observe their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations without becoming overwhelmed or reactive. This increased awareness allows clients to respond more skillfully to stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and chronic pain.
