Greetings! As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Florida, I bring a wealth of experience and dedication to your therapeutic journey. With a Bachelor of Science and Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of West Florida, along with my role as an Adjunct Instructor in the Social Work Department, I am deeply committed to facilitating positive change. My journey into social work was inspired by witnessing the transformative impact it has on individuals' lives. Originally hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, I have spent the last 13 years immersed in the vibrant community of Florida. Outside of my practice, I cherish moments with my family, indulge in reading, and find solace in gardening.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session we will spend time getting to know each other and discuss your needs and expectations. This will help us establish a good starting point, and discussing your challenges will provide valuable insights into what you're experiencing and hoping to achieve. From there, we can develop a tailored plan to address these challenges in subsequent sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a clinician is providing a safe space as I accompany you on your journey towards healing. Creating a safe and supportive environment is such a crucial aspect of effective therapeutic work. It allows one to feel comfortable and open, which is essential to explore and work through challenges.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

By focusing on the interplay between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, I strive to provide clients with valuable insights into their own mental processes and empowering them to make meaningful changes in their lives. Helping individuals challenge and reframe their recurring thoughts is a key aspect of CBT and can lead to significant reductions in anxiety and stress. I'd love to work in supporting your mental health and well-being! If you ever want to explore new techniques or approaches within CBT, feel free to reach out, I would be honored to join you on your journey.

Psychoeducation

My goal is to equip clients with the knowledge and understanding they need to make informed decisions and take effective action in managing their mental health. By delivering information in a structured and accessible way, tailored to each individual's circumstances, I am empowering clients to apply that knowledge directly to their lives. This not only enhances their understanding of their own experiences, but also fosters a sense of agency and control over their mental well-being. Psychoeducation is a powerful tool for facilitating growth and positive change.
