LMHC, 10 years of experience
I am a licenses mental health therapist (LMHC). I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of New Haven (UNH) and a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Mercy College. I have been a therapist for the past ten years and in private practice for the past four years. I treat anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief and loss. I serve medically complex patients.
I will create a safe space for clients to be able to express themselves freely without the feeling of being judged.
Be yourself. Meet your clients where they are at in their journey. Build trust and a therapeutic relationship to help them navigate the challenges they face.
Do you have cancer, end stage renal disease, diabetes, quadriplegic or any other medical complexities? I work with medically complex patients who struggle with depression, exclusion, and loneliness. I offer a safe, therapeutic space where individuals with similar health challenges can connect through guided individual/group therapy and psychosocial support. What makes me unique is my medical background, which allows me to create meaningful, clinically informed connections-helping patients fulfill the basic human need for love and belonging. I understand that navigating chronic illness takes an emotional toll on the entire family. That’s why my specialized care supports not just the individual, but also their caregivers, emphasizing self care through psychosocial support.
Because no two client situation are a like, you have to know when to implement solution focused vs some other treatment modality depending on what the client presented during the initial assessment. And you have to be able to change your treatment method if what you’re using is not working.
