Licensed to practice in Florida and accepts 38 insurances. Specializes in Addiction, Anxiety
(she/her)
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of Florida with over 25 years of experience in the field. Throughout my career, I’ve supported clients facing a wide range of challenges, and I understand that each person’s journey is unique. I work with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, addiction, grief and loss, trauma, relationships, communication, and life transitions.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, supportive working relationship. We’ll talk about what brings you to counseling at this point in your life and explore the concerns, challenges, or symptoms you’ve been experiencing. Together, we’ll clarify your goals and expectations so we have a shared understanding of what you hope to achieve. This conversation helps me learn about your background, strengths, and any previous counseling experiences, and it also gives you a chance to ask questions and get a feel for how I work. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer picture of your needs and the direction we’ll take as we move forward.
Research shows that the relationship between a client and their therapist is one of the biggest factors in how successful therapy can be. That really highlights how important the connection with your therapist is. My main goal is to create a judgement free space where you feel safe, respected, and free to share your thoughts and feelings. By focusing on your comfort and emotional safety, we set the stage for real growth and positive change. Throughout our time together, we’ll look at your strengths, your patterns, and the coping skills you already have. Understanding these pieces helps build resilience and supports deeper insight and healing.
My ideal client is over 18 and motivated for change. They are open to exploring their coping skills and learning new ones to better manage the challenges they are facing in their lives. I use a mix of therapeutic approaches, tailored to each individual.
