In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a supportive, judgment-free space where we focus on you. We’ll explore what’s bringing you to therapy, discuss your concerns, and clarify what you’d like to change or improve. Together, we’ll set meaningful, realistic goals tailored to your needs and outline how we’ll measure progress along the way. We’ll also go over important logistics that promote clarity and planning, including scheduling, rescheduling, and practice policies (including no show fee), so you feel fully informed and confident managing your time. Most importantly, your first session is about building connection, understanding your needs, and creating a foundation for lasting growth and balance in your life.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

During sessions, I focus on a collaborative approach that allows a sense of safety to build on hope, growth and meaning that results on an empowered sense of self. My therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to support adults who are seeking deeper self-understanding, emotional balance, and more intentional ways of relating to themselves and others. My work is especially meaningful for individuals navigating complex trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and the lingering impact of past experiences such as adverse childhood events including and not limited to adapting to a new country. I aim to create a safe space that is affirming, respectful, and grounded in genuine understanding, where clients can explore their experiences without fear of judgment. Many of the individuals I work with are motivated for growth but may feel stuck in patterns of emotional overwhelm, impulsive reactions, or difficulty setting boundaries. I also have a strong interest in supporting emergency responders and single mothers, who often carry significant responsibilities while managing high levels of stress. These clients may struggle with burnout, emotional exhaustion, or feeling that their needs come second to others. Together, we work to restore a sense of agency, develop effective coping strategies, and build sustainable ways to care for both themselves and those they support. My ideal client is not defined by having everything figured out, but by a willingness—sometimes even a small one—to reflect, to be curious, and to move toward change. Therapy with me focuses on helping clients shift from survival-based patterns into more intentional, value-driven living, while strengthening emotional regulation, self-trust, and a clearer sense of identity. If you are considering therapy, I invite you to reach out.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Understanding how thoughts, feelings and behaviors interact and in session we create skills to break unhelpful cycles and set clear goals.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Using this treatment promotes healing through awareness, non- judgment and focusing on the present moment. This is helpful when managing triggers related to prior traumatic experiences.

Motivational Interviewing

This treatment can pair with CBT, ACT and trauma- focused work as it promotes client's reflection on their own strengths which builds a strong collaboration in setting and developing SMART goals.

Narrative

With the use of this enriching therapy, clients are able to work on their personal history defining their self- esteem, identity, or other issues that may have promoted rigid self- narratives. This empowering treatment recognizes client's strengths, sense of agency, resiliency and values.
