New to Grow
I’m a counselor who believes that healing begins with honesty—with yourself, your pain, and the meaning you give to your life. My approach is rooted in existential therapy, which means I help people explore the deeper “why” behind their struggles, choices, and patterns. Together, we look at questions of purpose, freedom, and authenticity—not as abstract ideas, but as living experiences that shape how you relate to yourself and others. At Rogue Counseling, I work with people who feel stuck between who they are and who they want to be. Maybe you’re tired of running from discomfort, or maybe you’re just ready to live with more intention. I don’t see therapy as fixing what’s broken—I see it as helping you reconnect with your own agency and meaning, even in the face of uncertainty. My style is direct but compassionate. I draw from philosophy, psychology, and the realities of being human in a messy, complex world. I believe humor, curiosity, and courage belong in the therapy room just as much as pain and vulnerability. If you’re ready to explore your own story and live more freely within it, I’ll walk that path with you—one honest conversation at a
The first session is about getting to know you—your story, what brought you here, and what you hope to find in therapy. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out. We move at your pace. I’ll ask a few questions to understand your background, what’s been challenging, and what’s most important to you right now. You can expect a conversation that feels real, not clinical. I listen carefully, but I also reflect and challenge when needed. My goal in that first meeting is to start building trust and clarity—so you leave with a sense of direction and what our work together could look like. It’s normal to feel a bit nervous, especially if therapy is new. Think of the first session as a space to see how we fit together. From there, we’ll decide on goals and the pace that feels right for you.
I blend existential therapy with elements of geek culture, philosophy, and real-world humor. That means we might talk about meaning and mortality one moment—and reference Fallout, League of Legends, or Star Wars the next. I believe stories, games, and characters we connect with can reveal just as much about who we are as traditional therapy questions. My approach is both reflective and down-to-earth. I don’t sit behind a mask of formality—I meet you as a person, not a diagnosis. I challenge gently, use humor when it fits, and help you explore the deeper patterns behind your experiences. I also draw from geek therapy, which uses pop culture, gaming, and storytelling as tools for insight and growth. Whether it’s identifying with a character’s journey, exploring your “origin story,” or learning to level up emotionally, therapy with me can be both meaningful and creative. In short, I help people explore the serious questions of existence—without losing the playfulness and imagination that make life worth living.
I work best with people who are ready to look beneath the surface — those who feel stuck, restless, or disconnected, but sense there’s something deeper calling them to change. My clients are often thinkers, creatives, and seekers who have outgrown old roles or ways of living. They might describe themselves as overthinkers, outsiders, or people who “feel too much.” Many of them are navigating major life transitions, identity questions, relationship struggles, or the quiet weight of meaninglessness. They may not use words like “existential,” but they know what it feels like to ask, “What now?” or “Who am I really?” My ideal clients don’t need to have it all figured out—they just need to be willing to be honest, curious, and a little brave. I’m not here to hand out quick fixes; I’m here to help you explore your freedom, your values, and what it truly means to live on your own terms. If you’ve ever felt like you don’t quite fit the mold, but you still want to live with purpose and depth, you’re in the right place.
My work focuses on helping clients face life’s uncertainties and discover purpose through authentic choices
