New to Grow
Hello, and welcome. I have worked in behavioral health care for over 20 years. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and certified addictions professional, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse population across all age groups and in a variety of settings—including group and family therapy, inpatient care, and outpatient services. My passion lies in working with adults in individual therapy. I aim to create a space where people of all identities and backgrounds feel seen, supported, and safe—including members of the LGBTQIA+ community, people of color, and those navigating cultural, generational, or systemic challenges. My personal and professional journey also allows me to understand and collaborate with fellow clinicians and caregivers—especially those seeking mindfulness, self-care, and balance between their personal and professional lives. I strive to offer a welcoming environment where you can express yourself freely and feel truly heard. Achieving your goals for wellness is a process, not an event. You deserve to heal, to be well, and to be supported along the way—and I’m grateful for the opportunity to walk with you through that process, one step at a time.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a space that feels positive and authentic. You’re welcome to ask any questions you may have. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and how I can best support you. Together, we’ll begin shaping a plan that feels right for you—one we’ll revisit and can refine as we go.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Clients often describe me as relatable and easy to talk to. I bring authenticity and warmth into the therapeutic space, helping clients feel comfortable, understood, and supported. My personable nature allows me to build strong, trusting relationships that are the foundation for meaningful change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I specialize in working with adults navigating life transitions, healing from trauma, or seeking personal growth. I also support individuals facing substance use challenges and those with co-occurring mental health conditions. Many of my clients come with a desire to better understand themselves, improve relationships, and foster resilience. I especially welcome those in caregiving or helping roles—including fellow clinicians—who may be experiencing compassion fatigue, navigating their own health concerns, or working to reclaim boundaries and self-care. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change, I offer a supportive space to explore your goals and develop strategies that help you progress in ways that feel sustainable and true to you.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have extensive experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT. It's a structured, goal-oriented approach that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. I use CBT to help clients develop healthier thinking patterns, which can lead to more positive emotions and actions.
Eclectic
Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I believe it is my responsibility to explore and integrate a variety of treatment modalities to tailor services that best support each client’s unique goals. My approach is eclectic, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness techniques, trauma-informed care, solution-focused strategies, and psychodynamic principles. This flexibility allows me to meet clients where they are and adapt interventions to their evolving needs.
Trauma Informed Care
I use trauma-informed care to create a safe, respectful space where clients feel empowered in their healing. I recognize how trauma shapes thoughts and behaviors, and I tailor interventions to foster resilience, build trust, and support emotional regulation.
