New to Grow
I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and moved to the United States in my mid-teens, carrying with me resilience, cultural richness, and a deep passion for helping others. My greatest inspiration has always been my mother—a strong, independent woman who taught me compassion, courage, and the power of emotional support. Those values led me to become a therapist dedicated to guiding others through life’s most difficult moments. Today, I specialize in supporting adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, and significant life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that every person is capable of healing. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, process their past, and build the confidence and stability they deserve. Outside of my work, you’ll often find me spending time with my family, enjoying new recipes, walking in my neighborhood, or watching the sunrise—my favorite way to recharge and reset.
During our first session, my priority is to help you feel safe, heard, and supported. We will take time to talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing emotionally, and what goals you hope to work toward. I will ask gentle, guiding questions to better understand your history, your current challenges, and what you need in order to feel relief and stability. This is also your chance to ask me anything about the therapy process so you feel comfortable moving forward. Together, we will begin creating a plan that aligns with your needs—whether you’re coping with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, or major life transitions. You can expect a calm, nonjudgmental environment where you can speak freely at your own pace. By the end of the session, you will have a clearer sense of direction, support, and the next steps we’ll take together in your healing process.
My greatest strengths as a therapist come from my ability to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly understood. I am warm, direct, and intuitive, helping clients explore difficult emotions with both gentleness and clarity. My clinical approach blends evidence-based methods—such as CBT, EMDR, and mindfulness—with deep insight into how personal history, trauma, and cultural identity shape a person’s emotional world. I excel at helping clients connect the dots between past experiences and present patterns, guiding them toward awareness, healing, and meaningful change. I am patient yet goal-oriented, offering practical tools while also supporting deeper emotional work. Clients often tell me that my presence feels grounding, supportive, and empowering—allowing them to open up, feel validated, and learn effective ways to regulate their emotions. Ultimately, my strength lies in meeting clients exactly where they are, honoring their pace, and helping them rebuild confidence, resilience, and a stronger sense of self.
My ideal clients are adults seeking emotional clarity, healing, and meaningful change. Many are navigating depression, anxiety, trauma-related stress, grief, or overwhelming life adjustments. I work best with individuals who value emotional insight and appreciate a blend of compassion, direct guidance, and evidence-based tools. Whether someone feels stuck, disconnected, or burdened by their past, I aim to help them regain balance, strengthen their sense of self, and build healthier patterns for the future.
Psychoanalytic therapy helps clients understand the deeper roots of their emotions and behaviors by exploring unconscious thoughts, past experiences, and relationship patterns. Through gentle exploration and insight-focused conversations, clients gain clarity, emotional relief, and long-term change. This approach helps reduce anxiety and depression, improve self-esteem, and create healthier, more fulfilling relationships. Psychoanalytic methods offer a powerful way to heal from the inside out and build a stronger sense of self.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a highly effective, evidence-based approach that helps clients identify and change unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By learning practical skills, clients gain control over anxiety, depression, stress, and everyday challenges. CBT focuses on what you can change right now—offering tools to break negative patterns, build healthier habits, and create lasting emotional balance. This method is empowering, goal-oriented, and proven to help people feel better faster.
EMDR Therapy is a powerful, research-supported treatment that helps clients heal from trauma, anxiety, and deeply rooted emotional distress. By using gentle eye movements and guided processing, EMDR allows the brain to reprocess painful memories so they no longer feel overwhelming. Clients often experience rapid relief, increased clarity, and renewed emotional strength. EMDR helps you move past the experiences that once held you back and supports lasting healing and transformation.
